Closings stages of last night one of our former players now coach at Warrington was on the pitch for what seemed like a couple of minutes. During that time we was attacking Warringtons line and he was shouting loud and clear instructions as where to push and who was offside. Just wondering if there is a rule on this? Irreverent of the result was just something noticed that struck me at the time, A, lenght of time of pitch and B, instructing player whilst defending on try line.

Ps. Had to edit, as my grammar was appalling, can't get used to these bloody tablets!

Said the same myself, can't see how he was not pulled by the ref as he was talking with various players so not just an injured one.

If we lose points for accidentally having an extra player on the pitch fleetingly what would the penalty for deliberately having a member of the coaching team on the pitch giving instructions?

And when Fitzpatrick left the field the other guy took his place,Fitzpatrick appeared to be filling the gaps in their defence at times.

Fitzpatrick is player welfare manager not a coach....he might have been on there sorting out sponsored cars for the players. ..

But in all seriousness in the past smith sent messages to the player via Richard Marshall. If they now go from smith to agar to fitzpatrick. ..its no wonder we look all over the place at times. ..

I thought the rule was something along the lines of the attacking team can have the water carrier on but not the defending team. Whilst annoying I didn't think there was anything to stop it.

Had he been carrying water I might agree with you !!
