| I'd be careful with these lists...
you put Travis Burns and Luke Walsh together who haven't played together, But pick our makeshift combo of Bridge and O'Brien...?? After 7 games O'Brien has played with Bridge, Wheeler and Myler. I have no doubt he will also play alongside Ratchford and Grix as the season goes by....
In that list, the only two halfback combo's better than your own is the "imaginary" pair of Walsh and Burns and the one and half game "Carney & Dureau".
That said you wont get many arguments from Wire fans by putting us last on that list after last nights performance. But it is interesting that we sit 4th, and eight teams with "better" half backs are below us.
so nice list, but it means nowt....... in fact it highlight's what and absolute mess the league is in for half backs, if truth be told If they were all up for sale tomorrow I'd take Luke Walsh (if he is the same player after his leg break), Todd Carney and possibly Brough( with the exception of last night he has always been bobbins against us), but that would be it. (I know you'll moan about not wanting Rangi but hes the last thing we need)
They are all much of a muchness from patchy, to ordinary, to past it....... its not an inspiring list.

| Flying biscuit you make a valid point. Warrington are strong in other departments but there half backs are holding them back to kick on. I have done the ranking based on opinion!

| Cant see chase n dobson as 3rd best in league,
Campese has had a great start to season with Kelly and think Gale/Finn better than 10

| Theo on his own is the bear half back combination in the universe
I can't wait for us to have the chance of playing the same starting 6 & 7 for a few games and work on their understanding, Dobson showed what he offers on Thursday.

I'm sure you mean currently but just to point out that Burns and Walsh played many, many games together at Penrith between 2010-2012

| We were having a chat with Tim Sheens after the Hull game and my pal asked him what British half back he'd have in Australia and he replied Luke Walsh, that says it all.

It's a sad indictment, but very true.
Twenty-odd years ago we produced great Halfbacks with the likes of Edwards and Gregory but couldn't produce the same quality of forwards. Fast forward to present day and we're dripping in quality forwards but with no decent halfbacks at all.

Go to be something in the desire for the average RL player to be bigger than previously, think when Bradford started a trend of increasing the size of the back line the emphasis changed from wirey and nippy little half backs too ones who took on the line more and were more hookers than halves.

| From the limited games I have seen so far of them, Campese and Kelly have impressed me most as a partnership.

| re Leeds: I would put Liam Sutcliffe in here rather than Sinfield
and suggest that McGuire/Sutcliffe is a top 3 combination.
