We could be short of a back or two for Saturday if all the injured players are unavailable. Some thoughts:

* Do we play Chase at full back?
* Do we play Griffin & Johnson on the wings?
* Do we play Sa'u & Walton in the centres?
* Do we play Lee at scrum half & Fages at stand-off?
* Other backs in squad are Ford & Gee, one as sub?
* Three big forwards as sub?

The importance of the win last Saturday cannot be overestimated. The team played with a great deal of heart & wanted the win more than Hull. We cannot expect Chase to perform at that level every game & need to address some weaknesses still there. We had no one to move the team around & use a decent kicking game(Dobson?). When Hull took the ball out wide it looked like we didn't know how to defend - this happened last year as well.
The coaching staff must ensure that we start the match with the same amount of enthusiasm as Saturday and quickly get into the Catalan team.

The Wakefield match is again massive to our season. Perhaps some on the injuries may well have cleared up by then and we will have more options for selection.

I think we should go with Johnson at full back and Ford / Griffin on the wings, simply because Johnson has more pace than Rangi for the kick returns. To be honest I don't care where Rangi plays if he is turning it on like Saturday!

Catalans are a big side so I think your suggestion of 3 big forwards on the bench is a good one. They were brilliant against Warrington so if we can run them close i'll be happy.

Is Etienne Ferret still at Salford? I would've thought he might be a chance of playing in the halves or at fullback.

My guess is if the players are still out with mcb and evalds id go;

Hood will have to play the 80 as cant think who else could play hooker. Id stick 3 props and possibly ford on the bench

I watched this lad play quite a few times, and to be honest thought he was shocking. Nowhere near good enough. Looked scared and out of his depth, he was quick and scores a few tries. But that was it best all round he stays in France. Think his signing was a reaction to Theo's success !

This how I would go too. Not the 1-7 we would have expected to field just 4 games in during pre-season I would rather give the injured players an extra week recovery so they're 100% fit for Wakefield than risk either of them against a fantastic Catalan team on their own patch.

I read somewhere Locke maybe available for the game on Saturday. Evalds only tweaked a hamstring so will probably be saved for Wakefield. Also Paterson could be back in contention sooner then expected. Dobbo misses out. No news on MCB & BJB though!
