A mate of my next door neighbours dentist who once drank in the same pub as someone who briefly met a Swinton supporter reliably informs me the deal for the young Swinton prop was completed a couple of weeks ago......then again he could be talking toot.

Saw him play at Leigh last week when my mate talked me into going, awful game, Swinton were well and truly hammered.
He had a bit of fight about him, threw a couple of punches and missed, drove it in reasonably well but cant see him getting anywhere near the first team.
How old is he, I thought he was Sam Barlows older brother, he certainly looks quite a bit older than him.

Not seen many Fax games,mostly Swinton and Salford with having to move here.Josh gives 100%,but gives penalties away for fun.A better buy would have been Menzies i rate him big and fast and controlled aggresion.Think Menzies scored a 60yd try that is some going for a prop.

Josh Barlow is the younger of the two Halifax born Brothers at 23 by 3 years, I've seen him play a couple of games only for Swinton & Scotland in the 2013 RLWC, say he's feisty and quick to throw a punch or two when worked on.

Whoever it is ( if any ) that we pick up from our near neighbours , Harris, Watson & Macfarlane feel there must be potential given a SL preseason to make SL .

I'd say let Harris have an off-season with him too. He's managed to turn Hock away from the fisticuffs (Shame he couldn't steer him away from Referees )

If you build competitive enough a squad, fisticuffs could see you lose your spot. Plus I'd like to think that someone given a chance at SL wouldn't squander it, or a spot in the team, with over-aggression. Who knows?
