Just read on twitter that Martin Gleeson has been injured and hopes to be in contention to play against Catalans, also he wants to stay on for another season.

Although Gleeson was a great player in his time i think it's time for him to move on!

I read that as code for putting himself in the shop window for a final year with any club that fancies it, I think he knows that we're unlikely to offer him a playing contract, might offer him a coaching role though.

Waste of cap space if he stays on because he's unlikely to be first choice next season. Lets spend the money somewhere it's needed.....In the front row!

Class player, if a tackle needed to be made i would rather it was gleeson than mcb and if a pass was needed rather gleeson than sau.

And if pace was needed I'd rather it was Platt, done us proud over the past couple of seasons but think things have caught up with him. You'd think that he would make a decent backs coach if not for us but another SL team.

Could make a good backs coaching combination with Long.

Well he’s obviously going to want to stay isn’t he, because he know he won’t get a contract elsewhere.

Time for Gleeson to move on IMHO.

He'll never get in front of S'au or Caton-Brown for a starting centre spot.

We have other, better options as back up too.

He's just taking up valuable space on the salary cap.

One player who hasn't had his chance under Harris revitalised Salford yet. Worth seeing how he gets on from now until the end of the season, there is worse back up to have.
