| Listening to the game on the app at work (commentary is brilliant by the way). Sounds like everything is really coming together after all the hard work put in by the lads. Let's hope we can kick on now, well done to everyone at the club.
Sounds like Locke is world class!

| Tremendous performance built on strong aggressive defence.
We bombed at least 3 tries, and their last try was a bit of a fluke.
Caton- Brown looks as though he's going to be stand out.
Locke was very confident,as you'd expect, and not fully match fit.
Johnson back to his best and Josh Griffin played well.
I thought our pack would be second best but we bossed it.
Shame that Tasi was sent off and truly sad that poor Brough had to replaced following the hit.
Expectations now sky high for the Hull game

So Salford's best performance of the season coincides with you guys being poor? If you are going to come on here and give a compliment then drop the patronising comments at the end.

| Thought today's game was a fantastic performance against an in form top side. Where do you begin to pick good performances from? Obviously there's Kevin Locke & Mason Caton Brown who were both outstanding.
I'd like to pick a few of our unsung heroes today because the stars get the plaudits so I'd like to mention Theo, Jordan Walne & Iestyn Harris
Theo for me gave one of his best performances. He was running the centre of the park like an experienced pro. When it came to defence he stood up to be counted with a couple of great tackles on some big men. For me I'd have given him the Man of the Match.
I thought Jordan Walne was great today. The amount of yards he made against a very big pack was outstanding. He also put his hand up for loads of work in defence.
Iestyn Harris has been going about his business in a very professional manner. When he was appointed I must admit I thought it may have been a mistake. Since he's arrived he's analysed where we were lacking in certain positions and gone out to rectify it. Hooker, Lack of pace, defensive structure etc. Over the last five or six weeks we've seen gradual improvement and today it came to fruition. I've listened to Iestyn's interviews on the radio since he arrived and I think he comes across as a very intelligent thinking coach who sees the game as it is. I think that we have a coach who understands the modern game and will move us forward to where we as fans want to be.
Well done to all the team & coaching staff for today's performance.
Lastly a well done to the fans for a great turnout and fantastic support for the boys today. It was a day out we all have been looking forward to for quite a few years.

Maybe, just maybe, the lowly Salford stopped Huddersfield playing today!! That's certainly the way I saw the way we tackled the Giants Pack!

| A team are only as good as they are allowed to play by the opposition. It's no coincidence we kept Cas pretty quiet last week despite their very late winner. It seems all the extra defensive work in training it now starting to show on the field.
To concede only 24 points combined away to Cas and the Giants is a massive improvement considering we were shipping 30 points in almost every game.

| I have seen small improvements over the last few weeks, I have felt we were due to give someone a spanking but being a Salford fan you learn to say it quietly. The biggest improvement has been in our defence & today it made up for many depressing away trips.
I cannot remember a Salford side with so much pace & options, I thought we would get out muscled in the forwards today without Hock & Hanson, so big credit to those forwards who laid the platform today for out backs.
Quite rightly the focus was on Lock & he delivered, however I was very impressed with Mason Caton Brown he had great pace & balance.
I am sure most opposition fans will not give us the praise we deserve, we should have won last week at Cas & the game the other week at Warrington was closer than the scoreline suggest. Let the opposition fans continue to offer little old Salford no credit, I say the Salford reds are rising!

| Cas fan here. I had a funny feeling you would win today and fancied you. You showed signs last week that a really good performance was not far off. I backed you on the coupon, but have a tinge of regret that I did not take you off level, at much better odds. Although I fancied you actually winning, I took the 12 start, to play on the safe side.
Sounds like Kevin Locke had a good game. Being a NZ international, he's obviously quality, but generally they don't hit the heights in the very first game, so if he did, then that's a very good sign.
Just as a matter of interest did Neil Evalds get a game. I was quite impressed with him last week, he looked very safe and composed under the high balls and seemed to have genuine pace and an attacking threat. Have only seen him about two and a half games. I know you can't go on such a small amount of viewing time, but in that small time, he has looked quite good. Not seen him really tested in defence though, so don't know how good a defence he has.

Today showed the improvement because in the corresponding home fixture we lost the arm wrestle after about 15 minutes and their big forwards totally dominated us.
