Nice to have it confirmed, even if it was a badly kept 'secret'. Interesting times. With four good HB's and thinking that Harris will be converting one to the Hooking role. Sneyd has been mentioned and Theo has looked sharp at dummy half when he's played there. Would be nice to get Tomkins signed-up too, as he offers plenty imo.

I must admit, that I like the prospect of Dobson organising for us. Let's just hope it doesn't all go 'Tim Smith'.

It probably also confirms Marc Sneyd's future as a hooker. Not keen on that. We saw yesterday how important the hooking role is, because our performance dropped off when Logan went off. I think I'd prefer to see a Tomkins/Owen hooking partnership.

I think Dobson has played Hooker a number of times in the past so this makes sense.

I have mixed feelings about this signing if i am honest.

Think as a name and quality it is a great signing, think he brings experience and a good kicking game.

BUT think not a good signing to pair with rangi. thought rangi works well with a a supporting half back. yesterday was a good example on how he and theo are tarting to gel. you have to let rangi call the shots and get the lime light whilst theo was doing a lot of the setting up the drives etc. Dobson likes to organise so i fear we might end up with the same problem as smith.

Also does this mean sneyd isn't coming back?

At least give him a shot next season with rangi, at is the least he deserves, every season he seems to be improving.

I like the approach for Dobson as he plays the type of RL the majority of us want to watch.

Couldnt imagine Noble trying to coach a side with 3 pivots and flair. Could you?

Sneyd is good in a good team if he goes back he'll be going back a step. This is fact he was no good before he's on the fringe of international recognition. If he was to come back you'd be doing him no favours
