Koukash has tweeted that it's not true and there's been no such talks. Whether Powell means they've enquired about a deal to sign him and we've simply said no, who knows...

| According to the Doc it's a load of rubbish.
Quotes from Twitter:
This is not true. Sneyd is our boy next year. Cas should respect our wishes and look elsewhere
If Cas cannot respect loan agreements, they should not be allowed to have any
No bloody chance
Judging by a lot of the six-fingered types abusing Marwan, they are not exactly doing much for their cause.
I get the feeling that if Smith had made a blinding start to his Salford career, the Doc might have considered letting him go on a cash/player deal in return. The fact that we're well shy in the halves now, and Sneyd being a homegrown Academy talent with a discount on the cap, makes him more likely to come back, imo.

Equally, he could just be doing it as a sign of faith in him, or with a mind to tempt him to stay. It's all guesses. The one guy who posts very rarely on here who is good friends with Sneyd has already said on a few occasions that it's wishful thinking on Cas part.
TBH, I'm not bothered either way. We need an organising HB that will take that role off Chase and free him up to do his thing when required. Not sure Sneyd is that. However, we're short in the halves, need a kicker, and he comes back with a discount on the cap. Should be a no brainer.

Quotes from Twitter
I am a big Cas fan and actually believe Dr MK is the best thing that has happened to the game in years. Don't understand some of the ill feeling to him, by fans of other clubs, or rather I do, it's called plain jealousy. Away from the playing field, the game is in a shocking state financially and in a few years time, will be no more than a feeder league for the NRL and RFU, if nothing is done to stop the rot. It has been desperately in need of large investors and top businessmen getting involved and hopefully Marwan will attract others to follow. However when we get one, he then cops flak from many others. But that's no surprise because RL has a great knack of shooting itself in the foot and many people within it, always like to choose the lowest common denominator and bring others down to their level rather than try attain the same themselves. For years the game has been lions led by donkeys and then when we get a thouroughbred involved, we take shots at it. But that is RL for you.
Looking it from a neutral, it appears to me his only failing so far, is that IMO, he has been taking some bad advice on the playing and coaching recruitment. For the money he has spent I honestly think you could have recruited much better. When you get that side of things right you will start going places.
Regarding Sneyd, he is playing very well, but the fact is that Salford have first call on him next season and if they want him back, there is nothing we can do about it.

Nice to see a reasonable poster.
Some of your 'fans' on Twitter are a disgrace, but I'm hoping they're not overly representative. I can't disagree with anything you've said either.

I don't go on Twitter, so I don't know what they have said. I am not surprised mind you, because like all clubs we definitely have our fair share of numpties. It is sad because we also have many fair thinking knowledgeable ones, many like me, that see Dr MK as a potential blessing for a game that is suffering countless off field problems. Unfortunately for us and it is unfortunately, it is nearly always our numpty element that get the publicity and attention and do the club a great disservice. We have been sadly let down by them on several occasions.
I am keen to know what type of things they have been saying on Twitter, if you could let me know.

Just the usual stuff.
It crosses from banter to silliness often. Our Chairman gets reams of insulting text daily, not all from Cas fans, but certainly a fair percentage. The Doc doesn't help himself on occasions by baiting them somewhat, but instead of banter it just gets messy and embarrassing from certain people.
We all have idiots in the ranks, so I know where you're coming from.

| So it was ok for the Dr to keep saying he was signing Chase last season and this season he tweeted he was going to sign 2 Tigers but Powell isn't allowed to say we are talking to Salford over Sneyd. if you were Mark who would you want to play for next season, Cas or Salford?

| Till you get rid Rangi at stand off there is no point having Sneyd back it been proven by loads of scrum halfs we used England have used and now Salford that Rangi can not form a partner to work with.

You see, Marwan in his latest Tweets was responding to the reams of abuse on the subject of Sneyd for the last few weeks. Him replying to some of those with 'He's a Salford player, and we want him back' or 'There's been no talks' is fair enough in my book. Cas has been doing well this season so far, but it's just half a season. After many years of struggling I'd have thought as a bunch of fans you'd be slightly more cautious in declaring your team the best thing since sliced bread after thirteen rounds of SL. What happens between now and the start of next season is crucial for you. You're a team that can't flash the cash and will still not be seen as a real contender until you're consistently in the play-offs. You're supposedly losing Clarke and will lose Sneyd and maybe a few others if top teams come sniffing around, and it will be hard for Cas not to cash in.
I think it's great that a 'lower' team has burst onto the scene this year, but it's far from certain at this moment in time whether that momentum will continue until the end of the year let alone into next season. The hardest thing for most teams outside of the top few in SL is maintaining a great season and building onto it further down the line.
So asking a silly hypothetical question like, 'If you were Sneyd, where would you want to play?' at this moment in time is redundant. There's a lot of time and events to happen yet.

| We are enjoying where we are in the league and playing great stuff, most Cas fans think anywhere between 5th & 8th will be classed as a great season.
While some of the posts on twitter by Cas fans are out of order M.K is by no means innocent with stuff he posts.
You don't see the likes of Hetherington and Moran on twitter do you?, maybe he should lower his profile a little and ponder why spending a shed load of money on his squad can't actually buy team spirit.

Yes, he posts stuff at times that makes me cringe, but maybe if more people in the game courted publicity so well we might have a higher profile sport.

The Hull KR, Wakefield and Bradford chairmen are on twitter I believe. As far as I am aware they aren't bombarded with messages from obsessed fans of other clubs though.
