Sorry if theres already a thread (i cant find one if there is). But im taking my little lad the USA v. Scotland game tomorrow, where is the best place to park that doesnt cost the earth?

Parking is going to be a nightmare as no fans can park at the stadium. You can park on the airport or at Eccles rl and ru clubs. If you come through Irlam you could park on Lidl and get the shuttle bus to the stadium from the Ship, which is opposite Lidl. Good luck !!

Non from traff centre but you can park and ride from west one .

Christ. Picking the mrs up from stockport station at 7 then flying to stadium. Any recommendations on what to do from that direction? I've seen that junction for a57 is really busy at the moment.

You're probably best picking her up in a helicopter and then landing at the aerodrome across the road.

Apparently the RFL are running the show, and have taken all the parking spaces for fun fairs and other events.
They are expecting a 12,000 attendance

Johnny the leither,if I was you I would drive up to Morrisons car park at Eccles and catch the shuttle bus at the interchange. The parking is free after 6pm and the shuttles are running every 20min up to 8pm. Hope that helps.

For future reference, we parked at Eccles RL and can't recommend it highly enough, although we did get there at daft o'clock and had to hang around for nearly an hour until anybody turned up to take our money (both for the car park and then behind the bar)! Last night certainly improved my impressions from previous visits to the stadium.
