I don't know whether most people know but Premier Sports is now available on the Virgin Media Platform. For the duration of the world cup I beleive it's free to all Virgin customers. I only have the very basic package (without any sports) and I managed to get the channel last night. Channel 551.

I only found out yesterday so why haven't the Rugby League been advertising this so that more people get to see some of the great games so far?

Yeh, visited my daughter and son in law, down south over the weekend, and watched the W.C. games on her virgin t.v, through the Premier sports channel.
They found out they were receiving it free for a 3 month period
I was quite impressed by the coverage, not quite as slick camera work as Sky, but with just two commentators, Dave Wood and Brian Noble it was much more enjoyable than Sky,s million voices at once, wandering off the subject and looking for controversy all the time

Pity it's not free through Sky...

It was when it first started on there a couple of years back as a taster, like it is now on Virgin.

Think this promotion has worked in our house; we will be buying the channel once the WC is over.

I have sky tv ,but paid premier sports £95 for a12month season ticket.well worth the money if you love the game. The coverage is superb up to now and I am looking forward to watching championship and NRL rugby league next season..

Premier sports commentary is the Biggest breath of fresh air since the mid 90's.

I have been so impressed with it and in particular with Andrew Voss who's whit, knowledge, exuberance and impartiality has brought RL commentary into the 21st century!

Murdoch should get his cheque book out right now and pay baldy and wiggy off and employ Voss and co to front RL on sky without delay.

Dave Woods who did the Italy v Scotland game yesterday was a million miles ahead of SKY's twosome. Think Voss is brilliant and he seems to bring the best out of Noble where was his fellow presenters on the BBC don't get the same from him. Would hope that at some point Premier look at making a formal bid next time the SL rights are up as they do the game much more credit without the razzmatazz that SKY bring.

Though when they have Robbie Pussy Whipped Paul commentating it does let the side down.

Voosy seems to be obsessed with the food on offer at the various grounds, so I'm looking forward to him waxing lyrical about the Madras upstairs @ Chas's in Eccles
