| With fans from every other club constantly banging on about our salary cap and how we are going to be massively overspending next year (I know the dr's comments have caused most of the morons to comment on this) . If you think about the players we have lost from last years squad pattern, moon, holdsworth, smith, sidlow, feka, Anderson, gleeson all on decent contracts then surly we have a massive amount to spend on the salary cap next year anyway. Most of this years squad are academy players or squad players from last year. I know we have made a few signings like griffin, etc. but we must be well under the cap this year

| We are way under the salary cap. From last seasons squad we lost Luke Pattern, Sean Gleeson, Matty Smith, Joel Moon, Daniel Holdsworth, Vinnie Anderson, Feka Paleaaesina, Adam Sidlow and Luke Adamson. Our only signings this season have been Ryan McGoldrick, Martin Glesson and Darrell Griffin which is a drastic reduction in wages.
In addition, I would imagine we'll lose Jodie Broughton, Ashley Gibson, Lee Jewitt, Wayne Godwin and Chris Nero at the end of this season too which will free up even more space.

| Let's not let common sense get in the way of their outrage though...
I predict that after the 'Announcement' whenever it may be, we will have to deal with salary cap threads/Thread hijacks for the evermore. Mark my words.

| Someone at the club told me back in early February that we were about half a million under it.

I’m lead to believe we’re operating at £1.1m this season after being at £1.6m last year, which would make sense as looking through the name of departures from 2012 I reckon you’ve got £600k worth of salaries.

| Don't worry about the salary cap, no one else does!
Your good Dr will find sponsors for the amount players may otherwise be deemed over the cap.
It's so easy to break the cap and stay within its rules it's just silly.
I hope you don't break it illegally when it's far easier to break it legally.

Well said, I can't believe as well as fans of other clubs we also have some fans playing the salary cap moral high ground. who gives a shiney one how much we spend under the good Doctors guidance.
We have spent the last thirty years without a pot to p!ss in hanging around the cellar while other more fortunate clubs have taken all the glory, with more recently Warrington joining the party with the help of SJM.
Does anyone really think the top clubs play within the rules? FFS the likes of Warrington with the talent at their disposal would only have about ten players in their squad as opposed to what 25/30.
