He's not signed yet, Whitehead himself has to decide wether he wants to join us first.

Will be good to have a 2nd rower who's a bit more of a threat to the opponent's try line if we do manage to get him signed.

Wonder if Whitehead was one of the signings the Doc alluded too a couple of weeks ago. For me IF he decides he wants to sign we're not going to get a better mid season player come in at this stage from SL. Scores lot's of tries which is something we've not had from a second rower for a few seasons.

Which one of Dixon, Ashurst or Whitehead to play loose then.

You dont spend £100,000.00 on one of the best second rowers in Super League to play him out of position.

To be fair they are all good quality players in the second row so I'd guess loose is a target anyway. Always thought Ashurst would make a decent stop gap 13 though.

Dixon without a shadow of a doubt for me, great hands and very fast for a forward.

Dixon would be a wise choice, especially playing on Whiteheads side in the defensive line. Shame you cant merge the two together, potentially one of the best defensive second rower in the league and one of the best offensive.

Hope he agrees to the move, paying him for sitting on his backside at Bradford and living in Manchester I have a bit of a soft spot for Salford so better going to you guys than any other in SL.
