| Thought Andrew was excellent last night, the best forward on the pitch. He and Ashurst have both given good accounts of themselves this season.
Next season id have Dixon at 13, ready made and better replacement for Wild.

| He was obviously watching the same game as the guy who has coached teams to many grand final & world club challenge cup wins as Noble also said he thought Dixon had a 'wow' of a game & was best player on the pitch. I know who's judgment I'd rather go along with.

Whilst I agree that our backrow is very inexperienced you are obviously clueless if you would class our two 23 year old backrowers, who are playing the full 80 every game, as deadwood. Ashurst is a workhorse with good defence and Dixon is all class.

I agree Dixon played very well ,Ashurst worked hard and Wild had one of his better recent games.
Wild is going at the end of the season,I assume, and we need a bigger more aggressive back rower.
What's wrong at the moment is the balance of the back 3. Think Hock, and you'll see what I'm getting at.

| We need Cartwright or a modern day version of him, our back row lads are very good players but there is that ????? missing, we need a ball playing loose forward to complement the two work horses that we have. I sometimes wish that Gleeson were a bit bigger as he would be an immense lock for me.

| Our backrow is too lightweight there is no size in there ashurst plays more as a centre then a backrower wild a waste of space and Dixon the best out of all three but nothing special

| Interesting quotes in the MEN[iHas there, for instance, been a more consistent back-row partnership in Super League this term than the Reds’ dynamic duo of Matty Ashurst and Andrew Dixon?
I doubt it. And don’t forget how much of their team has been taken up on defence while still being expected to run wide and support the three-quarters.
Just imagine how effective they would be if Salford dominated possession.
Saints must regret letting those two leave. "[/i
Martin Gleeson's quote [iGleeson has been impressed this term with the fine form of back-rower Andrew Dixon.
“Dixon impressed me from day one,” he said. “His work ethic is phenomenal along with his fitness. He and Matty Ashurst in the back row are top notch. I am enjoying having Dixon inside.
“He is making 50 tackles and backing this up with 20-plus hit-ups. He is a very good forward and very much an unsung hero.[/i
