| Just been informed that the club are now selling tickets for games at the Lowry theatre on Salford Quays.
I think its a brilliant idea and makes it easier for people to get tickets instead of that stupid ticket line. The club are also looking for other venues to sell tickets from which is a big step in the right direction IMO.

| Lowry theatre seems a strange choice for me. Personally I'd be giving Eccles rugby tickets along with Barton airport and the Unicorn. Second season at Barton and both home and visitors know the shambles that is the ticketing process, so with that in mind a stall at the previously mentioned locations on match day could prove a popular choice.

But if you live close to Barton or eccles RL you might aswel just walk upto the stadium to buy tickets, in think its the right idea, you'll have people who have just recently moved up here working at the media city who might see tickets advertised and might want abit of the action?
I personally think they should sell tickets nearer to the willows and weaste as a lot of fans who used to walk up to the ticket office can no longer do this and don't want to phone a pay per minute phone line just to get a ticket. Or maybe as I've seen someone say on facebook try selling them at Salford Uni or Salford shopping city and few other suggestions on there like Trafford centre or even Manchester arndale.

| Ideal would be to have a venue selling tickets in Eccles, Salford, Swinton and Walkden . That way we can target people in those areas and specifically Swinton as they are obviously deprived of any meaningful rugby league to watch locally.
Possibly an idea would be to have say Eccles library, the new unit near Tesco in Walkden, somewhere at Swinton town hall and a venue with council links on Salford shopping city.

Good idea that mate, I'd put it forward to the club If I were you, throw enough mud and some will stick especially with Doc in charge now.

Home fans might not live close but go Barton and Eccles for a pre match pint? Even the Unicorn, if they had tickets on match day and people purchased them at these locations it would help with the chaos that builds up ten minutes prior to kick off. This includes away fans, I have seen it mentioned a few time that they have been less than impressed, turning up to the north stand only to be told they have to go ticket office.

You'd just have ques at Barton airport and Eccles ARLFC aswel if your talking about match days, like i said what's the point in selling tickets so close to the stadium? You might as well walk up the road and get one from the stadium itself? I think the club are planning on these tickets being sold midweek leading upto games.

| Good idea I think. We want to be making it as easy as possible for people to buy tickets, and attracting new fans as well. Hopefully they get a few more ticket points set up. It might be an idea to have one at a supermarket in a given place and have a shuttle bus from there on the day of the match.

| Would be good if we could get some sort of ticket network set up in various pubs I reckon.

| It's a great idea, but need to be promoted or it will end up as another thing that was briefly tried but then stopped because it wasn't used (because nobody knows about it). If you failed to see the tweet or Facebook post, and merely looked on the official site the only info about ticket purchasing is how to buy online or over the phone from ticketline. No mention of stadium box office/reception opening times, and no mention of the Lowry.
Just so it's clear, it's not the Lowry theatre box office that they are on sale from, it's the Salford Tourist Information Centre, which is inside the Lowry building - left from the entrance towards the restaurant.

| Personally I think the club should be targeting the shopping centres - Trafford Centre, West One, Walkden, Stretford Mall etc. + offering free tickets to children and £2.50 each for their parents, just for a one-off fixture such as the Castleford match. I don't think anyone is likely to fork out £20 on a whim to watch a game they've never seen before.
I personally think the club needs to adopt a 'carrot and stick' approach to our new potential fanbase. Give them a reason to come back for more.

How would the "stick" element work? [i"If you don't come to more games we know where you live"[/i
