Presumably we will have a coach (s) in place and will be primed to recruit .

I thought it would be worth a look at the more probable , possibly left-field targets and names we've not come up with Marquee 1. Israel Folau- 23yr 16 St powerhouse winger - ex Melbourne/Brisbane - & international , He's tried his luck at AFL Aussie Rules , Now he's on a 1 yr union Contract. already linked with a move back to Rugby League .
- he's described as a cash hungry mercenary
+ Pay him enough money and he'll come ..

Leftfield 2. Andy Powell 31 yr RU Lock Forward - Sale , His Wales & Lions days are behind him , when fit & ' focused ' an battering ram in the mould of Sebastian Chabal. has made no secret of his ambition to try his luck in SL, and played RL as a teenager , Brian Noble made a Bid for him when Coach of Crusaders . Wigan also rumoured to be interested .
- Keep him away from Golf Buggies & Pubs
+ restore Salford traditional tie's with signing men from the Valleys + he already knows where the home ground is ..

one for the future 3. Andre Savelio - backrower - St Helens U20's - Lokeni Savelio's kid , lives in Warrington, signed up by St Helens , His nickname is Andre the Giant. a prospect .

If you are thinking players from the valleys and from rugby union,maybe Clive Griffiths should be appointed coach.

Folau would definitely be a marquee signing and make people sit up and take notice but....I don't think signing a winger as a marquee/extremely expensive signing is very practicle. I think we should strengthen in the middle of the park and then when when we've got quality there, then we should be looking at adding 'icing on the cake' players such as wingers. I think we'll do alright with Broughton and Williams for the next few seasons anyway, both very good SL wingers IMO.

Has anyone got a list of OOC players both in SL & NRL for 2014??

Marquee - Widdop. OOC for 2014 but with an option to extend.
Leftfield - Dave Taylor (Gold Coast) still only 24, 6' 2" 19 Stone 3lb. None of it fat. 'The Coal Train' would be awesome in SL.
Future - Glen Fiisiahi just 22 yrs old.

These are the first ones to pop in my head. After thinking about it, I could list quite a few players that would fit in that list.

Assuming the list is up to date we have about 9-10 players who potentially we could replace with better quality.

Elliot Whitehead, Darrell Goulding, Tom Briscoe, Chris Tuson, Chris Riley and Harrison Hansen would be good signings, perhaps Paul Wood. Rob Burrow and Gareth Carvell could be interesting one's. Logan Tomkins could be worth a punt, despite Wigan being well on top against Widnes last week I thought he was very impressive when he came on.

Why is Foran and Mauro on the list I thought they had signed 3 year contracts? Also we need to get Sneyd, Owen and Evalds signed up on new deals fast.

Gaz Owen signed a 3 yr contract last season, McGoldrick signed for us on a 2 yr deal & Foran a 3 yr deal so not very up to date that one.

Loved watching Dave Taylor at Souths , Cartwright paid big money to take him to Titans . same with Idris.
I was after a Titans player I'd prefer Jamal Idris. devastating at both centre or backrow .
