| With all the madness of the weekend subsiding, can anyone explain this? Jodie Broughton unable to play because of an accident on the motorway? Im no expert but shouldnt the club be making the team spend match day together, monitioring their nutrition and discussing tactics etc? Any other club would be preparing for the game in the correct manor and would not have one of their most dangerous attacking threats stuck on some slip road on the M62 FFS. We are trying to become this respected professional SL outfit- this wouldn't sound out of place in sunday league football.

| We don't know what the situation is. He could have had an external appointment, a promo opportunity, a meeting with his agent, and so on. Also, the club originally allowed Jodie to finish his studies and work part-time at a related firm. Perhaps this was responsible for him being absent that evening. Then again, I don't know whether he has finished these commitments or not.

| I remember the days of Adrian Morley playing for the Roosters, they used to go into camp before game day, basically the squad would be together in lockdown watching videos discussing tactics etc and that was around the 2003 era. The Broughton incident would never happen elsewhere only here. Maybe the Dr knows this kind of mistake should never happen and was another factor for PV's dismissal.

It happened 3 weeks ago with Hull v Bradford. Big accident on the M62. The Bradford team coach got a police escort around the accident in order to get to the game, but there were 10 Hull players stuck on the motorway in separate cars, closer to the accident with no way of coming off at a different junction.

Because RL players hate hanging around on match day. All it does is build nerves. No Club will have their players hanging around for hours and hours before a match. They want them relaxed, fresh from chilling at home and ready to focus just before the game.

I'm on about individually. The team/squad should be in camp.

| The Saint Helens prop Alex Walmsley missed Saints' game 0n Friday night because of the same traffic jam.

| Well It happens elsewhere then but I still standby that a camp system should be applied like NRL and M.U.F.C

Taking the issue of relaxing on the day of the game aside, I also think you're going to see more players doing part-time work or study alongside their rugby commitments.
