| Just wondered whether its just me or is anyone else just a little concerened at the lack of things happening? I mean i know its very early days but after the takeover went through i was expecting to hear good news after good news you know say on ticket prices, new ideas for getting new fans intrested and probably most importantly a big name signing followed by other quality players as was suggested at the 2 press conferences. Just seems that since the takeover press conference there has been nothing and all the excitement seems to have dulled slightly. Is it me expecting to much to early or is anyone else concerned?

| I know what you mean.
Saying that though, signings wise was always going to be picking up scraps. Everything else will take a little time. No news is good news right?

| I think it is a bit naive to think things would have happened immediately. The new CEO only arrived last week, Graham Lowe, the new Director of Rugby, hasn't to my knowledge arrived yet. At least give people a chance to arrive in the country and be in their positions for a couple of weeks before expecting some changes. And as The Butcher says, there are only other teams scraps available now anyway. These things will take time.

| We are three weeks into a new ownership . without interest from these owners the probability was we wouldn't have made it past January 7th so I guess thats good news , crass I know but basic.
The razamatazz has died down and we are left with the fact that it is a new club thats having to pick itself up by it's bootstraps and start again basically from scratch , in the midst of a season.
We have new owners , who have high ideals but still have to operate sound fiscal business plans. early days .

I was thinking the exact same thing to myself yesterday. Although I wasn’t expecting any new signings at this stage I thought there would have been some extra PR and initiatives by now to attract new or lapsed support.
I heard this week the club has only sold about a third of the season tickets they sold last year which suggests it needs addressing quickly. Furthermore I also heard some sponsors/corporates with connections to the previous board haven’t renewed because they did it primarily to support those individuals rather than the club in general.
I am sure there are a lot of discussions/planning happening behind the scenes and maybe we just need to be a little more patient before the new regime put their stamp on the club.

| Kind of agree to all the posts, however I read that Graham Lowe has just got back from Australia.I would like to think he has been looking who is out of contract for next season, and has been talking to those players and their agents. For NEXT season
Also Ed Farish and Andrew Chambers would surely be doing an in depth look at our backroom staff, to access if they need to get rid of deadwood and recruit top quality people to run the club.
Being real, this season is a dead one, we may win one or two games but it's about survival and the future. We should get another 3 year franchise, The RFL wants a team in the Manchester area.
So everything to look forward to Next SEASON

| We'll make a signing this afternoon. I'd be more worried if things are the same in a months time rather than now. It's hard to be patient but think we all need to be. I'd imagine te new chiefs are looking at the business side of things ASAP while PV, SL & GL will be looking at the playing side if things as we speak.

| I'm usually the most inpatient and pessimistic Salford fan there is, but chill people, our time will come.
This season is a write off, let’s just get through it and start rebuilding for next season. Members of my family and other hard-core supporters I know of aren’t getting a season ticket this year because of the time they have been released, so numbers are bound to be down on last year. If we can announce a couple of decent signings for next season and get peoples juices flowing a little bit then I think next season we’ll see a huge percentage increase in season ticket sales compared to this.
It will take time to drum up interest and sign players, these things do not happen overnight especially when the CEO has only been in place a week and the new director of football isn’t even here year yet, plus I’d imagine there’s countless other things that need tidying up from the previous regime. All we can hope for this season is for us to improve week on week and for us to keep supporting the team. Exciting times are ahead in future years I’m sure of it, so I’m more than happy to sacrifice one season in the grand scheme of things.
Keep the faith!!!

| The most noticeable change so far is the amount of new stories being churned out on the website. Seems to be at least one a day at the minute which certainly beats the old one a month policy we used to have.

| At this stage I'm not concerned. I was actually slightly concerned at the time of the takeover by some of the rhetoric coming out which risk(s) making us look stupid in the future, so I'm glad things have quietened down. The Club was in a complete state prior to the takeover (no internet or telephones for example), not to mention more long standing issues concerning the competence of those running the off field operations. This will take a while to address. The most important thing is that they are addressed properly in time for next season. As said above, this season is a write-off both on and off the pitch ... let's start getting worried if there are no signs of improvement come August.

All this talk of this year being write-off concerns me on both a financial and playing level. I’m concerned that some supporters will choose not to attend games and then get in the habit of not going. If some of our better players buy into this write-off year then we may as well wave the white flag now and kiss goodbye any positive momentum the club needs to attract better quality players and extra support and sponsorship.

Says in the MEN today that Griffin turned us down with a quote from Gary Hethrington saying he's staying to fight for his place at Leeds. How odd!
