Dixon is Top Tackler on 132 - that's averaging 44 tackles a game!

Dixon is certainly a worker in the Alker mold but' he also Tops the Missed Tackles Chart that averages 8 Misses a game
Stats are dangerous things .

Jack Murphy has made 14 Tackles & has 0 missed tackles ....

the more telling statistics are:-
37 Penalties against us after 3 games
+ 38 Errors .

Anyone banging on about poor defence and wondering why we are shipping 40+ points a game? We are knocking on or dropping the ball or giving penalties away and therefore field possession 18 times a game.
Whilst we continue to average these a win is a far away dream .
Teams aren't running in 50 metre try's against us for fun , we are inviting teams to our try line .

He has only missed 6 tackles the MT stands for marker tackles which he has made 24. Therefore he is the top tackler and the top marker tackler

Regardless, I think MM's point is a good one. It's the mistakes that are costing us at the moment.

What those stats tell is that to have had to make 44 tackles a game, we're spending too much time defending, and not enough with the ball. The 37 errors and 38 penalties mean we're coughing possession up cheaply. More time defending means more tackles made, which means we'll be fatigued faster than the opposition, and hence the landslide scores.

It's only to be expected really at this stage, and will improve. The encouraging thing is that in making all those tackles, it shows the effort is being put in.

Both Warrington (+3) and Leeds (+12) have actually made more errors than Salford, It's the missed tackles, lack of forward momentum and guile with the ball that is hindering us.

Dixion doing well at the moment lets hope it continues
