Huge number of individual errors - starting very early in the game ! Uphill struggle from then on.Conceded far too many penalties.Lacked creativity despite having repeat sets in the first half but scored a cracking tie at the end of the first 40 after a splendid crossfield kick by Sneyd was knocked by Niall Evalds for Ash Gibson to score.( I am totally biased so it was the best try of the game - unless that honour goes to Niall Evalds for his intercept and length of the field try in the second half )
Could not understand why Hardaker, who was knocked unconscious on Sunday by Chase,(who has obviously learned his lesson after rearranging Ropati's face),was not tested by any 'bombs',and when he was replaced at full back why the replacement wasn't tested. The Leeds kicking game was far superior and was to their advantage.
Once again we conceded a try from dummy half.
Same old same old but losing to the World Club Champions don't bother me none as I appreciate the club is a pretty good role model.
We boosted our points scored total, which was pleasing, and the important games start now.
Good vocal effort from the travelling support, which needs to be continued despite the frustrations.

| Not meaning to belittle you, but you were awful. Leeds played as poorly as I can remember for a long time and still managed 42 points. It was a dire game with a lot of penalties. You scored 1 try from a crossfield kick after Broughton went 70 metres, 1 try from an interception on your own line and the last try came from a penalty 5 metres out where for some reason, the whole Leeds team seemed to turn their back on trot towards their line. As they were doing this, Gibson tapped and dived over.
Leeds must have bombed 5 or 6 tries though and on a good day, it would have been embarrassing.
Good luck for the season though. Im glad you found an owner and talking to a few of your fans on the way out, you seem a very happy bunch

| Plenty of effort there. Too many errors early in the game putting us under pressure. Murphy dropped a bomb in the first couple of minutes which you would expect your full back to take and there followed a number of individual errors. Whistle happy ref contributed to a scrappy first half but Leeds stepped up in spells in the second half for a comfortable two points.
When we reduced the deficit from 18-0 to 18-10 we had a little bit of hope but this soon disappeared as Leeds scored two tries in two minutes. We are a million miles away from where we need to be but I've witnessed far worse than last nights performance, if that's a postitive!

| Improvement for last week and that will do me. Still giving away to many penalties. Got a lot more quality to add to the squad yet think we have all just got to be patient. Hopefully with the likes of Williams, gleeson, foran, fages in the team we can compete in a match just hope we work a bit harder on defence in training we look at bit suspect in that area at the minute.

| Bloody defence. Our first signing should be a defensive coach. It is obvious P.V Defence coaching is not working

Or is it? Is it possible that this is the best our defense can be with the players we have, at this point in time? Put it another way. If the Langworthy under 14's were to play the under 16's, a team with more experience of playing together, a bit bigger and stronger than their younger counterparts, what would you expect to happen?
I'm not saying you're wrong, but what I am saying is that when you view the situation holistically, the picture isn't quite as obvious. Maybe we should wait until we actually have a team of snior players rather than an inexperienced, albeit eager team of kids with a sprinkling if moderate quality in the pack.

| I've expressed my feelings about defense previously and wont go into it again for everyone's sake. Suffice to say that there is more to defense than just drilling it in training.
Morale, confidence, fitness, fatigue etc etc also play a big part in successful defense. It's quite plain to see that our team are somewhat low of confidence and it's reflected defensively. If you look at the errors (and where they were conceded) and penalties we have conceded is also a big factor in how many points we've shipped.
You can't turn the ball over to any team in your own third and expect not to concede off the next couple of sets. Once the team gets a few senior players back and the new signings settle down, we might see a change. So I kind of go with RP on this one, and say that things are not always as black and white as just getting a better defensive coach.

| I can see where you are coming from, Red Preacher, and can agree with you to a point.
Let's hope new recruits can tighten our defence
But don't all teams have two assistance coaches, one attack one defence
