I think the difference is that we approached the Warrington club in an attempt to sign Adrian Morley whilst Warrington approached the players directly and didn't bother contacting the club until things had been agreed.

Tony Smith has gone even lower in my estimation.

Myler had made it obvious that he wanted away, player power has stopped clubs controlling the contracts.

It's not a case of the players saying no, it's a case of Warrington not being bothered that there is an anti-tampering deadline, they tapped both players up well before that. The point isn't about players wanting out or being tapped up its about Tony Smith whining like a baby about something that Warrington, as well as other clubs have done for yrs! We're not stupid, we know it happens but if you do it how can you have the nerve to criticise others for actually doing the correct thing & approaching the club first?? Just because the timing didn't suit Warrington that's just tough! When did he want us to make an approach when we only got taken over the day before the Wigan game? Could hardly have done it during pre-season could we?!

What are you actually on about? We went to Warrington and made a formal enquiry on whether you would be willing to let Morley join us THIS season. You said no, that's the end of it. No arrogance or presumption, just an enquiry about a player. The April deadline is about signing out of contract players for the year after.
