Well whatever the news, be it good or bad, im hoping it gives us a clear direction as a club. Hopefully we can then plan our 2013 campaign with a united front and a thoughtful strategy to try and avoid any more miserable seasons like the last one

According to a RFL source, deal completed. We shall see, I like most Salford fans will only believe it when I see/hear it confirmed!!

Obviously the key thing is that we still have a club to watch and lets hope we have news on that today.
The only thing that strikes me though is that the kind of proposed signings we are being linked with don't really smack of anything other than deja vu.New investment seems to be along recent lines which in view of the franchise renewal doesn't bode well.Lets hope we get some jam on top of those mentioned.
Obviously any signing under current circumstances is welcome and don't want to put a dampener on things just thinking beyond today.

The club have said on Facebook that no announcement will be made today. It's just press speculation as usual.

I think that any investment agreed today and announced in the near future will be too late for "significant" signings for the 2013 season. Let us hope that we can have enough money next season to form firm foundations for real development in 2014 and beyond.

Spotted a BBC Manchester outside broadcast car heading towards the stadium this morning so had kind of hoped for something to happen today.

Then again I shouldn't have been stupid enough to expect the MEN to get anything like correct information.

What would be good is if our new owners have been sneeky and negotiated contracts with our new signings before they purchased the club.....

Compare us to other clubs. Workington Town have announced numerous new signings for next season including Ewen Dowes returning from oz, unveiled their new kit and announced their club shop is stocked up aswell as a market stall in town on Saturdays in the lead up to christmas. 2013 season tickets are on sale too.

We are never the most organised at the best of times but this is as bad as it gets, or at least I hope it is

I think there is an unamed party involved in this.Peel and the council have a vested interest in terms of having a tenant in the stadium but there is nothing for them to gain if they are paying themselves.The only way i can see them being involved would be short term to usher in other people
