As I've posted on facebook.
Hope this is just as a precautionary measure in case of injuries or lack of form. I don't want sneyd to miss out on his chance just because Long is now playing. Also I hope it dosen't affect the coaching side of things now that he's a player as well. I'm sure it's a good positive move on the whole and will hopefully make Sneyd perform to the best of his ability so he dosen't get dropped! Also it's quite nice to have that sort of experience to call upon if needed!

I think he is 35. 
I watched an interview with PV on club site. He said Longy is signed as cover only and Sneyd will be first choice. Sensible move and a great bloke to have in reserve! 
I think he will be coaching as normal - just got him in case of injury to DJ or Mark S. We are not exactly flush with half backs right now ... I don't think it is a return of the Malc Alker situation of trying to do it all. |

[iAfter tonight's woeful performance against Widnes one thing I'm sure of now Sean Long will get a run out very very soon for the Reds.
We need a leader out on the paddock and 'Longy' fits the bill if only for the rest of this season.
