Just noticed driving on the Mancunian Way a pretty good advert on the electronic boards about the Magic Weekend,would love salford to do something similar,cost i suppose makes it a no no but a good effort by the RFL all the same.

Well done to the RFL showing DT a bit of initiative, i can't even see it costing an arm and a leg. Anyway who needs initiative when all our solid commercial marketing and media plans are submitted through our local rag and Rock Radio.

These are exactly the ethics DT gets paid a fantastic salary for. I don't want to get into a rant about the wats again.

What's to say he (or the marketing dept) hasn't done exactly that analysis and laughed off the ROI?

I've seen these adverts today. They look good. I suspect that they are on there due to some kind of link up with Manchester City Council (who own the advert screens AFAIK) over the whole Magic Weekend promotion. About half of the adverts that toggle on those screens are for council backed events (I heart MCR, the GB v USA basketball, the City Centre February promotion). What we need is for Salford CC to install something similar over the A6 or by Regent Rd.

I doubt anyone wants to go back to the days of you spitting out childish insults on here. It was a straightforward question: if you think those signs are such a good idea and 'don't cost an arm and a leg', and if you believe the club are incapable of thinking things like this up for themselves, why don't you find out how much they cost and contact the club with the details?

I can see the Tories and Fib dems moaning about the cost plus the other far right parties standing in the Mayoral election would be against it as well, but it just might be included already in the Chapel St Crescent budget.

It should be a nice little earner. I remember seeing the prices for advertising on the fixed signs on the old Broad St bridge and the Pendleton Roundabout bridge several years back. Eye-watering.

the stadium loan is also a nice little earner but Storming Norman can't get his head around that one.
