| I know it's going to be annoying for those affected, but these sort of teething troubles always happen with roads/car parks at new stadiums. I remember taking an hour to get out of the JJB Stadium the first time our academy team played there.

| As one who has bought a car parking season ticket I would have expected to have been given a prime parking spot as well as a police escort through the masses until I reached the main road. At the very least!

I have contacted the Stadium Company, enquiries@salfordcitystadium.com over the car parking situation and I am still awaiting a reply and the more that people point out these anomalies the more chance of something being done.
I actually got on to the car park early, got a decent space despite the stewards attentions, I left early as I had to take someone to catch a train and got off the car park after 15 minutes again despite the stewards best efforts to slow things down.
There is a distinct lack of decent signage coming into the stadium site and leaving it and I only found out from another supporter that there is a way out from the car park past the away stand that takes you behind the home standing area and then past the end of the West Stand adjacent to the training/community pitches and then down to the A57.
As Iain has pointed out in his post, teething troubles are to be expected but communication is the key, report it, get it changed, enjoy it.

In fairness how long has the reebok stadium been open and how long does it take to get off there...bloody ages. The problem is they tend to build these grounds without thinking through the infrastructure around them.

| Just do what we did and park at eccles rugby club. 3 quid have a long and a chip muffin then a short walk to the ground. After the game short walk back and straight onto clear roads.

| Let's all use it in a way so we can post "without the stewards' ... efforts" and see if we can fully snarl it up.

| Can't believe that some people are surprised by this. How do people expect several hundred cars to exit onto one road without experiencing significant delays?
As stated, Reebok, DW etc takes at least an hour to get from the official car parking areas. It's the same for this stadium and always will be.
From the Willows, I could be back home (In Wigan), in less time than it takes to leave the car park here. If I am eventually drawn back, I will definately be looking for alternative parking.

| Have none of you parked at HKR and endured the wait to get out?
It's pathetic calling this a "joke" - yet one more go at the club - so I had to wait about 30 minutes to get out - nobody died!

| Not having a go at the club (SCR) as you state, we are told the club have nothing to do with the outside area, also can you let me know what area you park in as it will cut my time in half to get out of the car park.

I am not surprised at all, I am happy with the number of car parking spaces that the stadium has available at present which must be as many if not more than any other Superleague club has.
I am curious in the fact that the absence of any decent signage appears to have been overlooked by the stadium company and five days after I made contact with them with queries /suggestions they haven't even acknowledged my email.
With a little thought and a few signs and some training for stewards the situation could be made much better for all concerned.
I have tried alternative ways of parking, getting to the stadium etc including the shuttle bus from the Willows which was good value and relatively quick but I refuse to submit my wife and grand children to the conduct of half a dozen half wits on the return journey which resulted in 20 minutes of vile obscene chanting and gestures.
When things settle down and the alternative parking etc is used coupled with the Stadium company getting their act together the car parking situation will improve.

| Surely it can't be that hard a fix to apply? I mean, I live, relatively speaking, near Rochdale AFC's Spotland Stadium, and post game, they have police at the Cemetry/Edenfield Rd and down Roch Valley way , leading up to the M62....they control the traffic flow by having the lights on permanent red until the majority of traffic coming from the ground has gone....it's a flippin' pain when you get caught in it, but it's over in about ten minutes...[ a bit like Salford's glory ]...I appreciate the planning of a project like this may take more thought, being next to the M60 junction, but c'mon...??? I hate these modern stadiams??] as the access roads and traffic flows are ALWAYS last in the line in the project plan....just sayin'
