Rumours circulating around leigh that we are signing this lad, dont know much about him or even if you have released him. Mgilvary has turned out to be a good signing for us what is adam like in comparison to deano ???

i hope the rumours are true.He played a handfull of games last year and imo isnt superleague standard especially if we want a top 8 finish .He looked vulnerable to me although i think i can remember him scoring a hat-trick at The stoop.I think it would be a good move for him going to leigh, dropping down a league will definately do him the world of good.

What? He is a very promising youngster who is quick and powerful, would be gutted if he left, unless it is on a duel contract to get some experience. He only came to RL at 18 so spending a season at Leigh would do him the world of good and give him some more game experience. But I can see a hell of a lot of potential in him and really rate him, so ignore this drivel above!

They are the same kind of player, both nippy, both small both a bit rubbish under the high ball is say clay was better player as he is a little bit stronger in the tackle, at that level I feel he would do a good job for leigh

Totally different players IMO, Clay is a powerful winger who has the strength to bust tackles, McGilvary is a nippy little winger with a decent amount of pace.

One things for sure, Adam will not feature again for Salford. He was offered a 1 yr contract for a certain amount of money, but held out with a view to getting more money and possibly a longer contract from Salford ... This was a big mistake as Salford turned around and said "we wont be offering you more money or the original contract that was offered to you"

So he now finds him self without contract or club, so Leigh looks at present like his best option.

Let this be a lesson to all young players.

Hope he does get a club sorted out , Leigh would be the obvious choice.
some of the opinion on here about Adam Clay are a bit harsh,
He only figured in 2 full games for us , but managed to get over for 3 tries and register 9 tackle busts .
would anybody write a lad off after just 2 full time appearances? ( the legendary Paul Carige an exception ).

Hardly imo, watched him in the acadamy a few times didnt exactly leave a trail of bodies...

when ive seen him play he looks a good talent a big strong winger a year loan or dual reg would be good for him though
