Tyrer is obviously impartial in his comments having been released by salford at the end of his contract.
Salford maybe unprofessional if wages haven't arrived on time.
Wild is unprofessional for airing his annoyance through a social network site.

I think they've got every right to air their views, its disgusting! I would be furious if I didn't get paid on time! Got to be some kind of breach of contract here? Its a disgrace! Amatuers isn't in it, this is beyond that!

FWIW players are on a very good wage and maybe should be able to budget a little better, its the staff behind the scenes my heart goes out to!

No, he's upset and rightly so. The club are unprofessional for not paying players on time. You sign a contract and expect to be paid. I'm sorry there are no excuses for this, our club is a joke and we're the laughing stock of super league. Why can't people see this???

Think you're massively over-reacting, there have been times that my colleagues and I haven't been paid on time and I've worked for several local authorities, local and central government, etc. Really not a big deal - banks are used to it happening and are happy to fund any direct debits, etc. on the say-so of the employer until an emergency payment can be made in place of missing wages.

Not saying it's good or that the club aren't in the wrong, just that it's no big deal.

Wild has every right to moan about it but needs to be careful what he says 'in public' about his employer, especially if they have a strict social network policy (which I doubt). Three of my colleagues were recently given final written warnings for discussing work matter that weren't confidential, or even that sensitive, on Facebook.

Having seen Tyrer play several times, I think it's fair to say that he's no better at his own job?!

Nothing to do with whether they were factual or not, what you wrote is a crock of s#it! Try looking at the bigger picture next time!

I remember when I was in the civil service back in the 90's, over a 16 month period we were not paid on time on 3 occasions, one being when the senior manager signed off a paydate of 31/02/93. So sometimes these sort of things happen, my old man when he worked for Manchester council had his pay stuck at a closed bank, the payment details were posted off to the branch but it had been closed for two weeks he had informed the council HR department of the change of address along with the 50 or so others who had accounts at that branch all to no avail.
Perhaps the club have changed the pay date to end of the month and the player has not realised.
As BC says not paying on time is a Breach of Contract under employment law, but this will soon not be the case when the new employment laws will mean that an employer can pay you when he wants and if he wants to regardless of your contract.
