[iYou won't be on your own 'salfords no 1'

I go back a little further, but it's time to move on and now I'm really excited about going to Barton next season.

Giving birth to the Stoke Reds back in 2004 was a big decision in my life. Turning my back on a club (and sport) that had dominated my life since my formative years was heart wrenching but a necessity, since they decided to leave me behind. Pardon the cheesy narrative but the Shed was discovered at a time when I needed it the most and helped to give birth to the passion that will dominate the rest of my life. The atmosphere alone was enough to indicate that this was the place I had always belonged. The best club, the best fans, the best stand, the best goonage in Super League. F to the attendance jizzers, we have our limitations but boy do we give as good as we get. I've met some of the most fantastic and passionate people at The Willows (you know who you are), and long may it continue to our new mecca.

Fookin Red Army!

Expect waterworks.

Been supporting the reds for 50years and definately will miss the willows.Barton will probably give me as many ups and downs as the willows i just hope it gives me as much pleasure as i did enjoy in salfords better years. With matt at the helm i think we will get plenty of good times.TO all the people in the shed lets make sunday a day the players and fans will never forget.

Good luck next week, i really hope you go out with a bang. Always liked going to the Willows as a Wigan supporter and am looking forward to going to Barton next season, i drive on Barton Bridge every weekday and the new stadium really looks impressive.

I hope you lot have a great day next friday and send the stadium off in true style,I know it's not really fitting and nothing to do with your club but It would be a nice gesture if a minutes silence was held before your festivities start. to remember Dana Wilson Swintons prop who this season has graced the Willows on a number of ocassions albeit for the Lions, I am sure many of you will have heard the sad news that he was Killed in a car crash less than 48 hrs after picking up his league winners medal at the ground.

If it happens great if not enjoy your night and good luck with the move.

I don't think any Salford fan would resent a minute's silence being held for Dana Wilson. Indeed, surely a minute should be held in honour of all the deceased players, staff and supporters to have graced the Willows with their presence over the past 110 years...
A 2 minute silence may indeed be more appropriate.
