I question the clubs marketing policy as we have not seen any marketing really from the club all season yet for the last game of the willows they employ a street team. There is alot of unemployed people in salford at the moment and can't understand why the club could not have done this as a permanant marketing street team as apprenticeships for young people and would have marketed for all games. I understand its last game at the willows but surly as a club getting people through the gates should be in the clubs marketing policy. It is about time the club do more to put are club in the spotlight and look at createing a good marketing base for the new stadium. But cant see why the club only does this for one club game. Look how warrington advertise there game they put it on big street signs and other really good marketing stuff that they do. Are club aint got a clue surely its time for a change.

Eccles Star I work in Warrington and know what you mean with how the Wolves use billboards. I have also seen buses driving round Salford advertising Wigan. It can be done a whole lot better.

I wonder though how much are marketing department are actually given by the powers that be? They may be being called unfairly

I see a massive fat bloke in Swintom with a wigan shirt on most days walking about 6 dogs now that is original, I suppose Eccles Star you are putting up posters from the club in your local area.
All the ideas about putting advets on Buses or TV cost money and this has to be balanced with how many more would come, I could say that we saw a lot of bad things about Salford the other week, and i would bet that 9 out of 10 of the pillocks wrecking Salford Precinct would have no idea that Salford had a Rugby league club. Nothing to do with marketing more about pathy, ignorance and illiteracy.

Wigan, Sale RUFC and Lancs have used this in the last few months. We know how people like to get a bargain. My mrs bought tickets for a Lancs t20 game through groupon. She had never been a game before and never mentioned cricket but saw the offer and decided to give it a try.

BWFC offer a three match bundle for £65 and also offer a free game if 5 match tickets have been bought. Three tickets for £45 wouldn't have been hard to replicate this season would it?
We need to incentivise supporters who cannot commit to season tickets.

One of the first principals of Marketing is to compare what you're offering against the competition. I don't think our Club have any idea what's going on under their noses, otherwise there's be much more on offer.

By the way, through personal experience in business, I found bus advertising one of the least effective methods of promotions. I also found that no-one puts any value on 'freebies', better to charge a nominal amount. If Salford are guilty of anything in recent years it's giving too many free tickets away.
