Been told off someone who works in the precent that the shops have been told to close early as there expecting the rioting to spread there, also been told that crowds are appearing in the Arndale in town, can anyone confirm this?

Thought it'd just be rumours, apparently the bus routes have changed though and the precent's been completely shut and most shops in town are closed at 3 or are closing at 4. |

BBC Radio Manchester reporter Richard Stead says rocks and stones are being hurled at police vans by a large gang of youths in Salford, Manchester. He says there's a stand off between officers and a crowd of between 70 and 80 at Salford Precinct and businesses there have closed early.

Just walked through salford precinct coming home from work , the old library is on fire, a couple of shops looted, cars set on fire and a few bricks thrown by all the locals that live round there utter tits.
Apparently market street is under attack now.
