Can someone explain to me why the 'try before you buy' brigade are getting in free to every game?! The concept is a good one but is supposed to be a one off as I understand it yet people who I brought on the scheme are getting texts every week saying it's free entry & are then gaining free entry, surely this is unfair on us season ticket holders? I'm all for giving SCR my money but if this is going to continue all season maybe the club should look at giving season ticket holders away games free to redress the balance. It looks like the clubs push for new fans means the real fans are being left behind & taken for granted! Not on if you ask me!!

yeah i thought this myself! I got a 'try before you buy' for the crusaders game for the missus,now every other week she gets a text FREE entry with your card,bit much really! The odd game offers like this a great to try boost attendances,but with so many getting in free how are we only getting 4000 for a huge game like hull last night?? The weather was e but it couldnt have put that many off??

My mate had one and he got a text this week saying it would be £12 again with his card and not free. But yeah season ticket does seem a waste. I mean 5 home games free isnt right

I have friends who are fans of other clubs who signed up to the scheme to take advantage of the offer for when their team played Salford. They too recieve a text message for every home game offering them free entry.

Makes buying a season ticket pretty pointless imo.

These people who are getting a text for free entry to each game - are they taking up that offer each week or just getting the text and not going? I've seen offers elsewhere where you get the first game as the taster, then a text for a second one to encourage you back, then if you don't turn up for the second one, you get the text again, and again, until you do come back. Then once you're back, the next one will be an offer of discounted entry.

I got message saying free entry , but alas the weather put me off, 2-3 hours to get there 2 hours watching in the rain and 2-3 hours drive back.
I was watching the reports and was coming until someone mentioned a canoe to get into the Willows LOL. Hopefully be better weather next Home game for traveling down.

A friend of mine hasn't paid for a game all season and has only missed one, all on the try before you buy scheme. I'm sorry but that's just not right! I'm all for trying to gain new fans but not at the expense of us fans who are already there!! What encouragement do we get to sign up again? Some games it's certainly not what we put out on the field!

I've got a season ticket and have never been bothered about others getting free tickets. It seems the free shirt/free millenium magic ticket/free cup tickets/discounted coach travel/free academy games etc for ST holders are quickly forgotten about.

We are already much criticised because of our numbers and its a mega minus come franchise decision day.

Considering the free tickets being offered I find our poor crowds even more of a concern.

I would prefer the free ticket offer to be given to local schools. Was it the Oldham game the other year that attracted 7,000 plus? During the summer holidays let all the kids in for nothing and get their parents to pay full price.
