| I'll reply after you've answered my question from the other day ...
I assume from your posts that you want to see Wilkinson and Simms out of our club, and Alker taking charge.
Do you have any suggestions as to who may replace JAW and/or how well we would be playing under Alker??

| Jack Dearden - Rugby League oracle.
The who would take the club over question is an impossible one to answer. Who had heard of Andrew Glover or Steve O'Connor before they got involved in Wakey and Widnes? There are loads of other similar examples in RL.
Lance Todd we know we are in a mess but you are getting boring.

Jack Dearden has made himself into a right idiot over the last couple of weeks with his "are Salford in a crisis" remarks and he takes "John from Salford" as the source of most of his comments about the club, which says a lot.
He has said on a regular basis"Salford have had three coaches already this season" but doesn't say that all three were employed by the club before the start of the season.
Driving along the A57 the new stadium is coming on fine and it that wasn't on schedule a crisis would possibly be round the corner.
Do you think that the board agree with Deardens statement Lance?

| Perhaps he ment to say Castleford are a club in crisis, having not won for 4 games with 1 draw and losing the last three on the trot, in fact they went downhill after beating us, that must have took it out of them.

Whenever I hear Dearden speak on the radio I instantly think of two short planks.
If Salford or rugby league in general was run by someone of his calibre then there would be a crisis both at Salford and throughout the game. He provides the same input to the game as Stevo does to TV commentary or Gary Schofield does when asked to comment on a topical issue.

I never said anything other than Mr Wilkinson's a nice man,I also never said anything other than Mr Simms is a decent
man,I have never said Mr Wilkinson should leave the club either,as for Mr Alker,I did say,in my opinion he should never have been given the job in the first place, but unlike some people,I don't think everything the chairman dose is right
either,we have Mr Tarry who as been with us for 20 years, that's a long time,as for Mr Simms he says he does not have
any input, but since he as been with us we have had three coaches,if he does not have input, why do we need him
tell me any other club that as a football manager, surely he's wages would be better off spent on players,if we are that
hard up
I RESPECT YOUR OPINION,BUT I AM ENTITLED TO MINE.

it is when the licenses are up for renewal and Widnes have already got one, then unless the league expands a club will be relegated this year 2/3rds of the way through the season.

| How are the Reds in a crisis? The coaching position was brought about by SM health concerns that no one could control. The club has some quality players, some good youth, a wealthy committed backer and a brand new state of the art ground just around the corner. Is that a crisis?? I dont think so.
If crisis is the last 3 matches then yes if you are so short sighted but as a club there are others who are envious, I suspect

| Jack is a journalist
i.e. treat his statements as entertainment.
The job he has is 1) to entertain, 2) to talk about rugby league, 3) to fill the time allotted, and only 4) to inform.

if you look at the evidence of the last 2 and a half seasons, have Salford improved? well if it was not for the points deductions we would be second bottom, one below where we finished last year and same place as first season. Have the attendances improved? No because of the poor product on the field due to a poor coaching technigue and a revolving door fitness conditioner post.
Will the new ground being people in? well thats next year and unless something starts to happen out on the park the people will not come.
Our backer is not as wealthy as many others in Rugby League,( the new stadium has almost wiped him out) unless Peel Holdings take us over and then the sky is the limit.
So it is not the last 3 games one of which we won but the last 3 years of watching poor rugby with just the odd great display plus it is no good bringing on young players who move on as soon as a "big" team comes sniffing, Watkins to Leeds, Myler to Warrington, Turner to Hull and any day now we expect to see Stef driving a brand new convertable BMW even though September is when players can be approached, the plumbers of Wire are tapping again.

| "unless Peel Holdings take us over and then the sky is the limit"
NO NO NO
there are two possible scenarios of whom may take us over:
Kennedy of Sale Sharks
Peel Holdings
Both will destroy Salford RLFC.
Ask any firm, business, club or similar who have had one of these "take them over".

Surprisingly, attendances are actually up on this time last year.
