Maybe Hull KR will let Mason come to us to help him keep his hand in
news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_l ... 154091.stm
On a serious note think though not technically against the letter of the law this chopping and changing regsitrations mid season is shocking and is a loop hole that unless a player gets injured and can't play again for the season should'nt be allowed to happen and needs to be closed.

| I think everyone would be better off if Mason went to RU. He's unfit and past his best. It wouldn't be a loss to the sport. Hull KR have got their publicity and if he left it would give a good chance for a young British player to step up.
Regarding our quota spot, I'd like to see us go for another prop, to help take the pressure off Cashmere. I think we have enough 2nd rowers, especially with Nero now in the back row.

| I didn't think he was unfit against us as in what could have only have been his 2nd/3rd game in over 6 months he played the entire 80 minutes.

| He's not fully fit yet. If he went, it wouldn't be much of a loss to the sport.

Love him or hate him, 163 consecutive appearances should make Stuart Littler a Salford legend in anyone's book :Others/NA.JPG |

| Mason has actually done better than I thought he would but then he's hardly been ripping up trees and would definitely be no great loss (to KR, to SL or to RL in general).

Think he might be a good crowd puller for the first few games at any smaller club, but yeah i aggree with you, dont think he is that big a loss to the sport.

| The club need to pull that extra money out again, and find someone that can tighten our leaky defence out wide.

| I don't think one man can sort out all our defensive problems. The line speed is just way too slow. We have plenty of good individual tacklers (Nero, Godwin, Adamson, Wild amongst others) but they are having too much to do because the opposition have too much time and momentum. Also there are a few individual things in terms of positioning, e.g Gibson when Atkins made the break to set up a try in the 2nd half.
These could all be sorted out with coaching.....

Agreed. You don't get to SL level if you can't make a tackle.
What wins/loses games is defensive patterns and that comes from good organisation and coaching.
