Hello to everyone !!

I'm currently writing a feature on The Willows for a university project, and was wondering if anyone would be able to help me out with some views and opinions on the change of stadium and location. Also, it would be great to hear your favourite moment at the Willows (so far!).

Despite being a Swinton Fan, I have to say the demise of the Willows is in my opinion very sad.
It is without doubt a proper Rugby League ground where due to the closeness of the pitch as a spectator you get drawn into the game.
Only time will tell if Salfords move is a wise one as I don't feel the new grounds offer the same intensity and I only need to refer anyone to Robin Park.
As for favourite moment there well any Swinton win has to be my choice.

Why don't you go to the game on Saturday and talk to some real people instead of trawling the internet.

Now come on...I can't believe that as rugby fan you can be so harsh.

This is a lad who needs some help in writing his tales, he may not even be a rugby fan at all but don't dismiss him.

If he want's to re write his project get hold of the Lions Tales project currently taking place, excellent history about the Lions and something you Salford fans could do for this lad.!!

For salford as a club we have to start moving forward which means moving to barton, I will miss the willows very much, it has a certain atmosphere around the place but its generated by the people who attend matches so I feel we will carry this to the new ground.

Perhaps moving to a new ground will spice the club up a little and move them on to bigger and better things, the willows like salford have a great history but the time has come to move on.

The best days @ the willows are the ones when the shed is up, it feels like the world is against us and we the fans are literally dragging our team kicking and screaming towards success, its tough love sometimes the players moan about the abuse they receive but the strong ones always bounce back

I can't pick certain games, it maybe certain events in a game which made us laugh,smile , cry and sing which for me makes the willows worth remembering for me,

Perhaps this Saturday might be one of them days like hull kr the shed takes of and blows a gaskit and finds its voice again, we shall see may be worth going to the game with a video camera on your phone and interviewing fans tho I'm sure you will get some takers

On a similar vein to this why don't you go to a forever reds meeting with a camera and ask some of the guys who turn up there about their thoughts. You'll get a few who will give you more info that way than you will ever get via a message on a forum board.

Thanks for the responses guys, it's much appreciated. Unfortunately, due to work commitments, I can't make tomorrows game, but I've managed to get to a couple of games already this season (Wigan, Hull KR) and I think that the Willows is a cracking stadium, with the atmosphere being excellent. Luckily, I managed to get a few interviews from fans, but I have to say that it's always good to get as many views as possible, hence the messageboard here! As for the suggestions of going with a camera etc., I was planning to go in a couple of games time. Once again guys, thanks very much. If possible, before a game in the future, could I treat you guys to a beer and an interview ??
