Things are going so badly awry this season that I have an awful feeling the Reds could be the ones to miss out in July.

The turmoil off the field plus the shambles on it isn't a good look at all, then another sp attendance with the cameras on saturday there will cement the image of a club in decline and even a shiny new stadium can't paper over the cracks in the 'front office'.

I reckon John Wilkinson has under three months to do something to repair the situation or it could be curtains and the stadium a bloody great White Elephant.

This is our last year at a home for 100 years,we are about to step into a new shiny stadium, there should be a real buzz around the place, big crowds,a superstar players that we signed should be propelling us towards the top 8 and we should all be far from on here moaning!!!
Instead 99% of us all at the moment and for most of the season so far are on one bigger downer!!!it seems we sere lured by a false dawn of a great season ahead!and yes i do agree that unless things pick up we could be seriously touching cloth come the license announcement in july!

Bloody hell two weeks ago we were gonna make the play offs after winning two on the bounce! Now were gonna get booted out of super league for losing two on the bounce? Yes crusaders was a bad result but we never play well against them and who in there right mind thought we would get anything other than a hammering at cas is deluded! Some of our fans are complete tools!

I agree with Jaymc9, it doesn't matter a jot what we do on the field between now and July, the licence bid deadline passed nearly two weeks ago and our bid is in, we can only be assessed on that bid and nothing else.

For crying out loud everyone, chill out, we've just played a side that is now sitting pretty at the top of league and they're there for all the reasons we witnessed on Sunday - Cas will continue to be the surprise package if they can remain injury free. We need to take each game as it comes because all it takes this year in SL is a side not to turn up you can get spanked. I think we played some dumb rugby on Sunday and sometimes looked like rabbits caught in the headlights, it reminded me a lot of Cardiff actually. The players will know themselves what they did wrong on Sunday, it's now up to them, Vievers and Simms to fix it for Saturday.

I applaud some of our fans passion and emotion, but the doom-mongering does nothing but put more pressure on the Club. We lost to the top side in SL as it stands. Boo-hoo. The SL is so topsy-turvy we could go out next week and score 50 ourselves.

Sure, it's disappointing, but hardly the end of the world. As for the new stadium, as far as I can see with the image concious RL powers, Shiny new Stadium = Shoe-in for SL. Seriously, I wouldn't worry too much about that side of things.

Last year the visit to Cas displayed:
a set of supporters angry with the coach and wanting him replaced
a disunited team who had some excellent days but no consistency at the time
an old ground and plans in the future look feverish compared to near neighbours
a general morose attitude throughout

That was Cas.

Things change very quickly.

Nothing that has gone on at Salford this season has any bearing on the decision on a franchise, if we didn't have the stadium in progress we'd be down the road and the club wouldn't have invested so heaviliy in the close season.

Wakey you have to feel are gone and I'd suggest that there's a chance the league might be increased to 15 (with a by every weekend for one team) with the inclusion of Halifax.

Cas havent been injury free all season

Mcgoldrick has yet to play
Snitch hasnt played since round 1 due to a ban and an illness.
Owen missed the first 6 games.
jones missed last week.
walker got injured in round 3 and hasnt been back since.
hudson missed most of our games.
youngquest and widders have both missed a game through injury.
isa was banned and is now injured
fozzard missed the first few games through injury.

Lucky for cas we have had a kid to come in whenever we get an injury.

I wouldnt worry about not getting a franchise if i were you, i think you will be in this time (after all the emphasis on stadia that cant really turn you down) you will need to improve for the 2015 round but i think you will.

Yeah, nice stadium shame about the fans ?
Think the NHS should add ' Salford Fan ' to the symptoms of bipolar disorder after reading some of the topics on here recently . icon_biggrin.gifEPRESSED:

Absolutely NO chance of us losing out. I think Wakey will go, but due to their financial performance rather than their playing record.

My most fervent hope would be to see Harlequins get booted out and stop an end to the RL in London farce.
