... than beating the Welsh mob this weekend.
For me, beating them would really indicate a new culture within the club. A culture that capitalises on previous efforts. A culture that is clinical, unrelenting and harsh on team's that are mediocre and currently less than impressive, without any sense of sentiment or regard for the opponents... A culture that takes pride in being Salford, a proud club with loyal and passionate fans that is just about sick to death of being looked down upon and desperate for a change.
So many times we have rolled over in games like this and been made to look like mugs. And so often in front of the wider public on Sky.
Setting new standards for ourselves this Saturday would be simply brilliant. It would send out a signal to the other mid-table clubs that we're on the up and keen to emulate the recent success of other Lancs clubs.
It would also continue the momentum we're currently creating and put us in great frame of mind for the important game v Cas next week.
I really hope the lads maintain their recent energy levels and seek to improve in all departments this wek in order that they can rip into Crusaders this Saturday and send out this big message; "THIS IS NOT ANOTHER FLASH IN THE PAN!"
"WE ARE SALFORD RL AND WE WANT YOUR SCALPS" "OH, AND DESPITE WHAT YOU MIGHT THINK, WE ARE NOT CRUSADERS' B1TCHES."
RP feels better now...
