Even with the reception he received at tonights game and the criticism over the past few weeks/months/years he may save a bit of face by walking away. If he's sacked, which it what I truely hope will happen, he will lose all the respect he has built up in his career. It's fair to say his time is well and truely up here at Salford and I just hope the people who can make the decision realise how much it is damaging our the club and all future hopes and dreams of the fans.

one of the biggest things that is costing the team,is players like sidlow,jewitt,adamson,ratchford,spencer are going backwards under his reign.please mcrae be a man and walk away,we have had a few good times under ur healm,but sadly massively out weighed 90% of the time by the dire rugby we have come to get used too over the last 4 years.

The sort of nasty chants that were coming Shaun McRae's way at the end of the game tonight were a disgrace. They was even heard by radio listeners.

Mr McRae is a hard working coach whose won Super League titles and Challenge Cups. I think he deserves a bigger and better club than the hapless Salford City Reds. What did they ever achieved pre-McRae to demand success?

Get off his case and give the man support. Isn't that what you're meant to do as "fans"?

And as another non-Salford fan with a view, I'd say the home supporters were completely justified in the abuse directed at McRae tonight. A good turnout from the Salford fans rewarded with a pathetic defensive display.

[sizeBeing 40 and a Salford fan for just about all 40 I have had plenty of chances to see Salford play dire and gutless rugby but tonight this has been taken to the level of farce and shameful endevour.

To see a team of talented and skillful players playing in such a way reminds me of a ship without any rudder.

OK I agree it isn't the coach who is missing tackles and doing some of the basics wrong but hand on heart I do feel that the players are not motivated and in some cases are having their natural God given talents coached out of them. We have some of the best young English talent in the game yet they are rapidly becoming NL standard squad players and yet again the common denominator in this is that it is being coached out of them.

We have a coach who I would suggest is the oldest in SL and potentially has run out of new ideas and is maybe teaching from a play book and knowledge of old styles and principles. We need to find someone with a more flexible and modern approach to the game.

A couple of things struck me last night at the game, when Wilky was walking off after the game he still gave us all a warm round of applause and hopefully this was because he knows our feelings and that things will be happening come Monday morning. And also at half time when going to the gents I spotted and over heard Hunte stood outside the changing rooms and distinctly heard him saying that he wasn't allowed in - can we read into this that it's because he is telling it like it is to the coach?.

A coach who needs the escort of the pitch that he did last night and requires the music to be increased to attempt to drown out the calls for him to resign (the only positive on the night was that the music they did try and drown him out with was utter class) is obviously living on borrowed time.

I'd call for him to go with immediate effect before he causes damage to our great club that can't be fixed. [/size
