I went and watched Swinton vs Halifax at the Willows last night and watched a great game. Fax were lucky to win the game. Swinton seem to have put together a good set of players and played some first class RL last night. If you have nothing to do and you're a season ticket holder at Salford surely a fiver is not a lot to pay to go to a game. I predict that Swinton will be right at the top of their league this year and good luck to them. Go and see for yourself.

very unlucky, you could see when they played us in that friendly that they had a good squad, did many turn up for the game? IMO Swinton should of been playing at the willows for a number of years now. It will help both teams i feel.

The shed was shut for last nights game, lack of stewards apparently.

And long may that continue. I remember when FC played Salford City at The Willows a while back and seeing an image of the shed with all these unfamiliar faces in there. Heck, I even saw a bloke stood in "my" space. Crazy I know but all the same, it was horrible. Like watching someone rob your house and being unable to stop them.

was on Swinton precinct today and a couple of blokes were discussing the game, so I chipped in, was the club open for drinks?

I walked away, sometimes it is like being Stanley in Africa, coming from Salford and living in Swinton.

I am sure if the boot was on the other foot ther would be many Salford fans who would come out with a similar comment.

At the end of the day they arn't fans of the club.

I would go and watch my team play anywhere as I am sure many Salford fans will do when they relocate to Irlam.

It would have been nice for someone to warn about the burgers at the ground...I spent the remainder of Friday chucking my ring up.

Apart from that I enjoyed Friday despite the result as we should have beaten Halifax.

Burgers? They are not like any burgers I have ever tasted before. Mine was like a piece of cardboard in a stale bun with tasteless cheese and stringy onions. Took one bite, spit it out and binned it. Still like going to the Willows to watch a game though.
