Anyone got a favourate water hole at certain grounds, weather it standard of ale, prices, atmosphere or even food?

Personally I like Wigan away, always a few go on train, plenty bars round King Street pre match and it's always a lively affair after it too!

Can't forget them finals in Blackpool too! Don't think I remember much of the game versus Doncaster, great day all round!

Sad preacher nailed upon the coloured door of time; Insane teacher be there reminded of the rhyme. There'll be no mutant enemy we shall certify; Political ends, as sad remains, will die.:1602.jpg

How long have you got?
An easy start:
Huddersfield: both at the station (after visiting Stalybridge, Greenfield and Marsden stations).
Rochdale: The Regal Moon, the Cemetery (and two different ones on the way back!)
Oldham St Anne's : the club

"GAME OVER MAN, GAME OVER":35044.jpg

The railway club next to Warrington Central, The Early Bath at cas, The Miners club at Wigan (central park), The Station(?) (right next to the ground) at Crusaders, locals were really friendly but were mainly Yawnion fans. My favourite though was The Railway at Fev. We arrived pretty early one year and the place was pretty quiet. My old man asked if they did any food and a few minutes later, the landlady came out with a couple of big platters of sarnies and said "there you go lads, get stuck into that lot" On the house as well. Pity that teh ground was always freezing.

Bloody hell HBR you're slipping - must be the drink!!

Wakey - Kings Arms at Heath - top of my list
Hull and HKR - The Windmill where George Fairbairn is landlord
Wigan - bit of a desert close to the ground but if you've got a designated driver then The Crown at Standish has to be the place to go

The sooner we publish The SCR guide to Good Pubs near RL grounds the better - but for discerning drinkers only - real ale and good food
