| I'm taking your word that he's joining them because I haven't heard it officially.
He's a hard working back row forward that makes plenty hit up's and tackles. Not the biggest, quickest or most skillful but the kind of player most teams have to get the right balance between grafters and strike/skill players in the pack.

| In my opinion its stupid of us to let him go. Hes a hard working 100% consistent worker and is a class act at tackling, although this season he hasn't really offered much going forward which is why i believe we're letting him go.

I think we seriously lack back row forwards that can make line breaks or tackle busts. Maybe it's a sacrifice letting Swain go to allow us to bring in a strike player? Personally I think Adamson could takeover Swain's role in the team .

| Sorry what is the logic in letting your two tackling machines leave at once. Swain is the sort of player that i'm pretty certain if you asked the rest of the squad they would much rather have playing for them than against them. The most solid player on the pitch for me, fail to see why SM has started bringing him off for a spell as he looks like he could do the full 80 without breaking sweat.
Terrible mistake to let him go unless he has an absolutely world class replacement as players of his ilk don't grow on trees.

Because the best line of defence is attack? If we as supporters realise our two forwards that make the most tackles won't be playing for us next year then I'm pretty certain McRae & Simms will be well aware that they have to cover this area.

True but then who would take over Adamson? Personally I think if we get someone like Langley he could, or if not and we get Cross we could move someone like Jewitt to back row? All depends on who we end up keeping and who we sign though to be honest.

I think its fairly obvious that by allowing Swain to leave the club have one if not two quality back row forwards already lined up for 2011. Must be a sign the club are going in the right direction when we are disappointed players are not being retained? We usually can't wait to see the back of most players!!

His brother Tobias, maybe?
I've not seen him play but if he's anything like Luke then he wouldn't be a bad replacement.

I have seen Tobias play, watched him against Bradford last week, he scored a good try. His defence is good as you would expect, and he ran some good lines and took on the defence.
A good prospect, I'd like to see him given a chance as I believe he is training with the 1st team anyway.
Nothing to lose this season so why not give some of the young ones a chance?

| The idea will be all in attack... The Kevin Keegan approach... they score 30 points... we'll score 40. Who needs defence.

My guess is he won't be this year .
Honest & Gutsy but can't we find that sort of player locally ...? and for less $$
My remit for an overseas signing - skills & experience we can't find with UK based players, talented and exiting player who will attract more fans to watch us .
