| Moving on from Smithy68's claim that someone is coming back to salford.
Who would you like to see back in a reds jersey next season?
I think the two people who left with the most credit and respect still intact are obviously Hodgy and Goulding.
There are a lot of ex-salford players still out there and still playing, such as:
Coley - last year of contract, but impressing at Wigan now.
Korkidas - Our fans seem split about him.
Robinson - Can't see it at all. Even though he gave some fantastic performances we all know manner in which he left the club.
Turner - Starting to make a name for himself now at Hull, but has two years left on his contract.
Finnegan - Not sure what's happened to him, is he still at Shudders, couldn't burst out of a wet paper bag anyway.
Myler - Lol
The other Myler - Really don't see that happening
David Gower - Somebody mentioned he was doing the business in Australia.

| Coley/Robinson/Myler/Myler -
Turner/Finnigan - No thanks.
Korki - Probably better options out there.
That leaves, from your list, Gower & Hodgy. Hodgy was great for us and is still IMO one of the best wingers in SL. Would be a great prospect having bith Hodgy and Jodie on the wings next season. Was sad to see Gower go when we had him a few seasons back as he looked promising. Looks like he's still playing reserve grade in Oz although I'm not too hot on NRL so can't comment on what sort of standard he's playing at. He's listed as playing at 10 with Balmain although he looked like a back rower to me .
The only player I think you've missed off that list is Dorn and I'd have him back like a shot. He'd score tries for fun playing on the shoulder of the likes of Sidlow and Cashmere who like to pop the ball off in the tackle.

| Add Ryan Clayton, Michael Platt, Craig Stapleton and Daryl Goulding to the list.
I'd have Satpo and Goulding in a heartbeat. Can't see it with Stapo though.

Satpo Goulding, forgot about him . Goulding would do nicely and looks like he's being frozen out at the Pies. Never rated Clayton or Platt.

I'd like to think if Jeremy Smith was out of contract last year he'd have gone and Stapo would have stayed.
Would Dorn count as a non-federation trained player?

Goulding looks the prime candidate to me, can't see why Wigan are not cherishing such a fine young talent, but then again they've done it before. Think it's mainly because they get so many young talents they simply let some through the net.

think from what I remember from Stapo going it was more a case of him wanting to go back home rather than the club not wanting to retain him
Can't see Dorn coming back, think his treatment would prevent that and to be fair why would we need him when we have Ratchford who is for his age an superior player to Dorn.

| I'd love Hodgy back to be honest, wouldn't mind Dorn either if we play him right this time.
