me i will cheer him on and wish him well, he stuck with us through thick and mainly thin.

Wouldn't think that Alker can teach what he excells at as he is all heart and guts, there more technically gifted people throughout rugby league and can anyone say that since Alker has had a hand in healping training this season Salford have looked better defensively?.

I would suggest that Alker will get the same kind of player coach dea next season and we'll target getting in a younger hooker who he can mentor.

Good luck to him if he goes. He has been a loyal servant but his best days are definitely behind him and he has to think about life after playing.

Theres alot of good young hookers out there at the moment. Maybe Mcshane whos on loan at hull from Leeds would be great working with Malc

What ever Mal decides to do at the end of this season has got to be right for his long term future be in RL or RU.

It will be very sad at the end of this season if Mal does decide to leave us but looking back right from day one at the Willows he's been a credit to our sport and himself and I for one would like to wish him all the best for the future.

Think we all know that Higham should be at Salford, think there is the chance that should we keep Houldsworth and Matty Smith that Smith would be groomed more to be a bit part hooker in conjunction with the incumbant.

I think the opportunity for Alker to ride of into the sunset after all his effort and commitment and leadership over the years is too big of an opportunity for him and both the club to turn down.

Salford City Reds are moving forward the youth are begining to shine and we have a positive future ahead of us and Alker is moving on too and a fitting sendoff in his last game would be a good thing, rather than him being offered a coaching role and getting moved on If Mcrae gets sacked or Mcrae finds a better coach to replace him out the backdoor .

A wonderful servent to the club and has been the heartbeat for Salford city reds for the last 8 years or so, there wont be another Mal

One good outcome if he did hang up his boots this season is can you see him doing so at the end of next year with the prospect of leading the team out at the new ground after what will be a tearful fairwell to the Willows? I very much doubt you'd be able to drag the captaincy from him for those honours.

Malc was promised when he signed that Salford would be soon playing in a brand new stadium
