The survey was probably compiled by someone living in some dead end town with nothing else to do (i.e. most RL towns) so it may not have crossed ther mind.

Doubt it football is seen as a great evil by the majority of RL fans so if you go to both then shame on you

I would have said the fact there is promotion or relegation would be in that somewhere as there is nothing to fight for at bottom of league

Ok mate can you tell me why other clubs dont have the right to play in super league i will tell you why its about clubs who have money make the grade any small club its saying goodbye to them its going the same way as football money oriantated and going a way from a family oriontated sport. every club should have an equal cright to play in the league and anyone that can prove otherwise explain it to me because a franchise is set up on finances for one of the mager points if you have no money as a club you dont stand a chance to servive in rugby league and will ruin the game in this country. look already celtic are an example who have already broke franchise rule it was supposed to be based in the south it lasted a season and the reason for that was money.

That said, a decent survey of what deters Salford people from attending matches at The Willows would be very interesting.

How come no one has mentioned the media?
No coverage on TV, Radio or papers compaired to the over kill we get with football and RU. When I talk to average sports fans about the RL, they know nothing about it. But when it comes to RU or football they have at least a basic knowledge of the games, results and are interested in what goes on because it all over the TV.
Remember the ashes in 2005 that was on channel 4?

The things that stop people attending Salford matches will be very different to the things that stop people attending Wigan, Saints, Leeds, Wire, etc. matches.

Hence my comment about the futility of the initial survey.
