| The guy is playing out of his skin, his backing up is superb & he is always lurking looking to take the ball.
Fitz had a bad injury, career ending for some sports players(Beckham has been muted) with the injury he had, but it took him a season to get back up to speed & now he is looking at his best. He is as good as most other f/backs in the S/L presently. Think only for Talaus try saving tackle Fitzy was up for MOM. Well done to all the team.

| [iYes you have got to give credit where it's due Karl Fitzpatrick is trying 100% and that's all you can ask of any player when things are not going well week in week out.[/i

| I must say I was sorry to see John Wilshire leave at the end of the season & thought we would badly miss him but I have been impressed with Fitzy this season.
Well done Karl last night great performance.

| Can only agree - I honestly thought a the achillees injury would be the end of his career, but for sheer guts and enthusiasm Fitzy leads the way - well done Karl

| In his best form for a while this year.
He's looking good under the high ball again. I remember last season, every time the ball went up he looked out of position, sometimes running around like a headless chicken. Seems to have sorted his positioning out and has made some difficult takes.
The guy has got great enthusiasm and has taken some massive hits this year running the ball back but just gets back up and gets on with it.
Hopefully he carries on the year in the same vein of form as I can see him scoring a healthy number of tries.

Think you're being a tad harsh, there. Like I said above, he's improved throughout the season, often looking to back up when others don't.
His try against Quins a couple of weeks ago was a fantastic piece of individual skill as well.

I agree, I thought Jewitt played well. I've always thought that if he uses his size and agression, while cutting out the stupid penalties that he's prone to then he will be good player to have in the team. He seems to be looking more to offload as well (sometimes when he probably shouldn't - Wakefield last week for example) which gives us that extra threat as Cashmere seems to be the only player who consistently offloads for us.

I thought he was better at Wakey but he went pretty well last night. Still don't think Lee is upto the standards he's capable of. Sidlow and Cashmere were better last night. Maybe Lee, who I'm sure frequents this message board fairly regularly should take this on board and step up to the mark and fulfil his potential. COME ON LEE... STEP THE HELL UP AND IMPRESS US. We know you can; or can you?
Back to Fitzy. His best season in years without a doubt. He certainly inspired his fellow backs with his enthusiasm for the cause. Let's hope this enthusiasm increases as it ends to reap reward.

| cashmere did play well last night but i dont think he looked 100 % which can only be a good thing for the future!! another good point last night was we did it with adamson injured before half time, like i said ray maybe not 100 % parker lost with 20 to go and ratchford to come back and and also no jezza...hopefully the win will make them players left out or injured think im going to have to step it up another 20% to get back in team!!

| Fungus, I think you are actually saying you have only watched Salford once this year(arm chair supporter) otherwise you would have seen his performances week in week out.
Think Gibson on bench was a good ploy can cover most positions and provided malc with a rest.
Any news on Parker ?

| I think there was a lot of good performers last night
i thought alker played and defended superbly
holdsworth was the key player with some brilliant passes in to holes in the hull defence
Littler never stopped running the ball in to what is a very strong pack poss the strongest in the league he never stopped and didnt take a backward step
Fitzy which has already been discussed
henry talau and both wingers were solid
just a brill performance all round hull will finish in the top four and salford out classed them all game
with performances like that its a credit to be a salford fan
and love getting one over sean long by the way when he took i think it was gibson out in the air that was a penalty try
well done the lads
