I realised it's against the law on here to agree with anything McRea says or does, but I think he's pretty much spot-on there.

The one thing I do like about McRea's post-match comments is his honesty - very few other coaches will say "I was surprised at how bad we were" or "I don't know why we weren't better", prefering instead to recycle the same tired excuses.

I know some on here take McRea's honesty as a sign that he doesn't know what he's doing ('[ias head coach he should know why we aren't better[/i' for example) but there are times where sporting teams try their best but just get it wrong and, with the calibre of player we can attract/afford, they have to be firing on all cylinders to get a win in this league.

I think our performance at Caravan Park last week showed some signs of promise and, whilst last night was disappointing, it's a bit soon for some of the comments by 'fans' on here IMHO.

do you not think our players seem like they are playing with more pressure on their shoulders at home than when playing away? I do, getting booed by your own fans is shocking, i know we were rubbish but do you think the young lads we have in the side will take confidence from that?

Last year I along with many fans were prepared to give him a chance to sort it out, This year I am not!
We have gone backwards, I was at HKR & yes we worked hard but at this level working hard will not be good enough . I believe the players are better than we are seeing at present, I also believe the Slug cannot motivate the players.
He could not be anything but honest in his press conference because we were that bad, do you really think after two high ball kicks to the same spot in the first half resulting in trys, any coach in super league would have kept the same for the second half, this guy as no Plan A or B or C!
I know we have little money & probably the hardest job in super league but this guy will only bleed our club further.
Second rate & the sooner he is off to sky with Simms in tow the better.
