| Just for fun I've compiled my team of the decade for the Noughties!! Bit of an aussie slant to it I'm afraid but hey ho! Anyone want to submit their team. Also.... I've put a list of my top 15 Sportsmen and Women form this decade too, people who I believe have made the biggest contribution to the World of sport. Notice I've gone for competing athletes rather than any coaches.

31885.jpg Times have changed. It's not like the Old Days, when we can do anything we want. A refusal is not the act of a friend. If Don Corleone had all the judges, and the politicians in New York, then he must share them, or let us others use them. He must let us draw the water from the well. Certainly he can present a bill for such services; after all... we are not Communists.:31885.jpg |

| Chorley Panthers under 10s 2009/2010 - team of the decade in my eyes - at least 4 budding SCR stars of the future. We've just provided, from our under 15s, 3 Stains acadamey players and 2 Gooners. Only wish someone from SCR would come and have a look at what a RL "development area" has to offer. This is the club that brought the Tomkin brothers, Charnley and Lucas ( see Stains club site) to the fore. Merry Xmas from Panthers under 10s.

| Sports illustrated have done a top 20 sports events of the decade...
obviously a lot of American sports - but what a cultural difference it is that 2 'college' matches made the top 20. they had Liverpool v Madrid in there. this years (maybe last years?) mens final at Wimbledon as number 1

To be fair on the "olympic one offs", they only get an opportunity to shine once every four years.

I had the pleasure once of attending the derby between the University of Michigan and Michigan State at 'The Big House' in Ann Arbour along with 118,000 other people and can see why two game would make the 20, you couldnt begin to describe the atmosphere or unfortunately the cold.
