So glad we put on a good show tonight, some of the players leave on a real high. John Wilshire was my man of the match, great defensive display, he cut off the options when Leeds had an overlap several times in the second half and certainly kept us in the game.

100% effort, and you can't ask for more than that.

The last try from Salford was one of the best we have scored this season, don't know how many players were involved, but set up initially by Robbie Paul, and Wilshire dancing round the Leeds winger before giving him a push, then Ratchford to score.

Just wish the players had come over to the fans quicker ( but that's just me being selfish!)

Great perfomance proud of all the players tonight, our forward took the game to them, not going to talk about the ref; other than to say he must have been paid well!
Can we have a whip round to keep John Wilshire, what a pity he missed the easy kick, I think the missed kick changed the game when we were still on top.

Well done Salford tonight you made me feel proud.

IF WIDNES DESERVE A PLACE IN SUPER LEAGUE.......THEN THE POPE IS JEWISH!:33469.jpg

i thought it was a great performance and things could have gone our way with a few more ref decisions in our favour and things might have been different if wilsheres pen had of gone over, here comes the moan......thought some of the players couldnt wait to get off the pitch, why didnt they walk along in front of the shed and was worried to see big ray out of everyone get off so quick!!great effort by the shed though tonight and loved the myler song!come on slug and silver fox get some good recruiting done for next year now!!

Thought we put in a good performance against a class side.
I am never one to complain about Refs but Msr Halibut should not be put in charge of a kids game never mind a SL match.
Why do we keep getting the clown.

Very concerned about Cashmeres sudden departure, maybe he was injured and wanted treatment ?
Nash is on his way, not given a new contract and by all accounts it was handled very badly by the club.
Dont know if anyone else mentioned this but Fitzy seemed to be saying goodbye. He was shaking everones hand, having pictures taken and was the last one off the pitch.
So 6 of the squad have definitely gone and possibly 3 more may go.
So far we have 1 confirmed new signing.
Worried,you bet I am.

The report on Sky called it a long range solo try by Ratchford - a bit hard on the rest f the guys involved - noably Wilshire and Paul.

I got the impression that the Shed has been sent to the naughty corner by the team.

Also the rest of us who were stood on the terracing between the the Shed and the North Stand.
We saw a great game on the field tonight but I went off home feeling more than a bit peed off with things, the players at the end of the game, the guy on the mike at half time, is it me who`s had a bad day or the club.

It was a letdown that the players couldn't muster themselves into walking even half way down the shed, especially after leaving the fans waiting for so long. A lot of people looked a bit disgruntled. T'was a tad disrespectful I think...

in my 10 years of going to the willows every game i was very surprised with the very poor organisation of the last game of the season the players took pictures near the variety end then split up spoke to family friends an some fans then as they would usually do come along the side of the shed to get cheered and thanked for this season but where left surprised that one by one jogged off the field with a little clapping at hand thanks a lot when we come week in week out to watch you play.

Cracking game tonight held their own for most of 1st half, very pleased with the performance & hope it was the way things will go next season.

as for the players going off without doing a lap of thanks as said above, maybe they thought "up yours for all the abuse we have taken this season" & chose not to parade infront of the shed incase they got spat on or thrown things at them as had happened on a few ocassions this season.
Just a thought icon_cry.gif

I was quite impressed by your lot tonight. Gave us a right game and that try at the end was one of the best I have seen this season.
More impressive was your defence in the second half when we were camped on your line, to keep us to just 3 tries in that half given the amount of defending that you did was good.
If your players had been able to keep hold of any of them 2 interception attempts we might not have won.
Great game over all. Still not sure what Webb was trying to do when he manged to get himself tackled into touch despite fielding the ball in the middle of the park.

330 consecutive Salford City FC games - 30/11/08 to 10/05/14[/size:31338f0v][/color:31338f0v]:

Got to admit that I was surprised, and disappointed, the way the players left the pitch last night bearing in mind that were a number of them who were making their final appearances in a Red shirt. Instead of just a small wave next to the players entrance which was barely visible to the supporters at the far end of the shed the players should have been assembled in the middle of the pitch and announced one by one as they made their exits. Perhaps the ones who were making their final bow at the Willows could have even taken the mic and said a few words which everyone could have seen and heard which I'm sure would gave gone down very well with the Salford faithfull. It would have crowned an otherwise excellent night with both players and supporters contributing to a
very entertaining game.
