| O K I'm going to say it.
I'm glad Warri won - Brier's drop goal to give him his childhood dream, the underdogs winning, Mozza lifting the cup, and a personal special matter of someone I coached.

| Really pleased for Lee Briers, he has put a lot into the game over the years and i only wish he had signed for us when Saints let him go...Luke Robinsons goal line defensive efforts any one?

Not 'glad' that wire won as I was a complete neutral but with you on the rest of your post HR.
I really can't fathom the out and out hatrid exuding from some reds including some of my own mates. Yes I do remember the time they rolled over v Wakefield but I doubt it was a personal thing against us. Let's face it, had we played better that year it would've been irrelevant what Wire did or didn't do on that fateful day.
If someone could point out to me any other reasons for the dislike of Wire I'd appreciate as I feel I'm missing something.

3596.jpg this will not be the end, or even the beginning of the end.
It is merely the end of the beginning

yes we got beat by cas at home, if anything that day was our own fault because had we won it wouldnt matter what the wire v wakefield score would of been, and we were about 10 points up with 15 to go

Yeah but as far as I remember we were a point above Wakey before that day hense either a Salford win v Cas or a Wire (who were in no-mans-land. Safe from the drop but couldn't make the play-offs) win against Wakey would have saved us.

| As I remember. Wire were in some sort of pay dispute ,and they just rolled over.any other day they would have beaten Wakey.
We have hated the club [not the current players] ever since.

In the hour before the final, Huddersfield usurped you as the bookies favourites. Well done.

It boils down to little more than local rivalry and Lee Briers and Ben Westwood IMO. I have no concrete reasons why I dislike Warrington, I just [idon't[/i.
I'm still not seeing why people care about Morley lifting the Cup. Denis Betts is also a Salfordian who has lifted the CC trophy and nobody seems to give a damn about that. Neither of them played for us, unless you're a personal or family friend why care?

| The best team won, Warrington played well and had the tactics to win.
Morley lifting the trophy is as close a any Salfordian will get for a while yet.
