| There was one guy having a real go at Stu Littler last night. He was stood infront of me in the shed, and had Chris Charles on the back of his Salford shirt. He was havin a right go, and was bang out of order.

| I can think of at least 5 players last night who did not perform as well as Stuart Littler on the night.
But it's no good having a go at certain players because at the end of the day it's a team game and if 1 to 17 don't perform on the night in Super League your in trouble
MY RATINGS FOR LAST NIGHTS GAME.
Wilshere - 7/10
Henry - 6/10
Turner - 5/10
Ratchford - 7/10
McGilvray - 8/10
Smith - 1/10
Myler - 4/10
Cashmere - 7/10
Alker - 8/10
Stapleton - 7/10
Adamson 7/10
Sidlow, - 8/10
Swain - 8/10
[BENCH]
Littler - 6/10
Leuluai - 3/10
Paul - 3/10
Jewitt - 6/10

Got bulldozered over for a very easy try by Cas though in the second half just after our second try. Going forward he gets noticed which for some reason makes us miss his defensive mistakes IMO.

| Don't know where you get 1/10 for Smith, James. I thought he was better than Myler - He actually tried to run across the line to create something on several occasions there was just no-one actually ever in a position for him to give a decent pass to. Other than the poor kick straight at Owen in the first half I can't think of any glaringly bad play from him.
I see I'm not the only one who was quite perplexed at how Phil was given man of the match as well...

If and when I see Smith make a break from the base of the scrum this season I may change my opinion of him, to date he has failed to impress me everytime he's played his season.
But hopefully he will come good next week at Warrington Wolves and prove me wrong.

Look Jeremy Smith is not the fall guy this season, after speaking to Mr Simms the other week he convinced me that Smith will come good in time.
But as we all know down at Salford there are no hiding places and if you don't perform out on the paddock you get stick.

To be honest when we originally signed him from the Rabbitoh's I was one of the first people to voice my concerns at him. I've seen enough small flashes in his game to think that he still has the potential to be a good but not great player for us.
I think a lot of the abuse that he gets pretty much stems from the fact that Ratchford is often playing out of position. If Myler goes next season and we line up with Smith and Ratchford as a half back partnership I have a feeling that there won't be as much moaning about Smith, especially if after having a season over here under his belt, he starts to perform better.

Any mistake he makes, the fans are on his back straight away,Adamson knocked on on the second play last night, nothing said, imagine the abuse Smith would have received if he had knocked-on.
FWIW I think Smith has been disappointing, but he's not as bad as people try to make out.Part of this is I suppose because fans see him keeping Ratchford from the stand-off position, but that is McRae's decision, whether you agree with it or not.
If you were serious with your "ratings",then to give Smith 1/10 on last night's game suggests you ARE treating him as this seasons scapegoat.

| Hello you guys,
Just a couple of things here. I have not seen our lads live this season, so I know I might just take some flak for my opinions.
It just goes to show how team/fans can be up and down within a very short space in time. If you look at Littlers stats they are anything but rubbish.
He has notched quite a few points up for us through thick and thin.
Also, I think if we're honest about our season so far, we may have settled for some of the results that we have achieved and even the league position we are currently in with hindsight.
If we REALLY take a good look at SL in general you would have to say that every team is searching for consistency: Leeds away, Hull FC away, Saints at home.
Every week there is an "upset".
It's easy to target players that are not in the limelight and that seem to be overlooked despite their endeavours for our club, but I suppose that is why we're fans and they are players/coaches.
RL is (on paper) a simple game with basic objectives: but as we can see week in and week out there is a must win mentality that sometimes rubs us "old uns" and losing supporters up the wrong way.
I think that what has made RL a "progressive" sport is the way we have embraced "change".
Oh, and by the way: leave Stu Littler alone, he is an honest hard working player. It's not up to us to decide whether he's good enough: that's what the coaching staff get paid for.
I'm really sick of the negative attitudes on our board!!
All the best: BD.
P.S. feel better now.

Actually for the first 24 minutes I thought Smith was excellent ... that missed tackle seemed to stop this and I wonder if the criticism is subjectivly getting to him. If it is, and I support Salford and therefore all players, I'll give him 100%
We're all human.
