Very sad to see Darrell Goulding going back to the Wigan Warriors, but at least he did a good job for Salford City Reds whilst on loan at the Willows.

I would imagine Jordan Turner will return for the clash down in South Wales

Never mind we move on.....

It may be a case of him just coming back for a few weeks until one or 2 injuries clear and then going back to Salford.

It's a strange one because most of the injuries are in the pack but because we've lost one hooker and a scrum half in Tim Smith one of the outside backs(Phelps or Gleeson) looks like they'll have to play 6 with Leuluai moving to hooker meaning we need to cover their loss.

I'd still say he's coming back more as cover but he should be full of confidence if he does get the chance.

I did tell you on Saturday that Wigan had been talking to him.

Pretty disappointing but not really much we can do about it.

Our depth in the backs still remains a concern with or without Goulding in the side.

Shame to see him go, has done very well in the red shirt, certainly the standard of player we require to move the team on to the next level.

Goulding departing should be views as an oppotunity for the fringe players in a our squad to step up to make the grade at superleague level.

Out of interest how many games did he play for you on the wing? And how did he get on?

Too many for my liking. Don't get me wrong he did a very good job but he had a decent game in the Centre against Saints and it would have been nice to have seen him in his preferred position on a more regular basis. Due to our lack of options out wide both he and Ratchford have spent too much time on the wings this season although both have done a solid job.

Hopefully he has a couple of shockers when he goes back to the pies and they'll be only too keen to send him back to us on loan!!!

The majority of them. This was purely because we have no wingers and he was doing a good job there. He steadied our right side a lot, which was leaking tries before he came, and I dont think that McRae wanted to move him after that. He was probably a victim of his own success and got stuck there a little.

He played well against Saints at centre and at times in other games. Indeed as SalfordSlim says many fans have been crying out for him to go to centre for weeks and it is typical that when he does we beat Saints and Wigan recall him

Damn why did he have to have played well for wigan. I'm pretty sure he'll end staying there now. I'm gutted he was good for us.
