Long will be 33 in September and his body has took relentless punishment over the years. It's obviously catching up with him now as he has become much more injury prone over the last year or so.
Saints are a bit like Man United when it comes to releasing players, they get the best from them and then get shut.
Hull appear to have adapted a similar recruitment policy as Salford a few years ago, throwing big money at big name has been's!

Long is still now one of the top 3 scrum halves in the league, along with Burrows and as much as i hate to say it - Dobson.
He has won everything there is to win at the highest level of rugby league, and is still proving to take his side to the top, being in the Semi's of the CC and topping the league.
He is a very good player and will bring great organisation, kicking game and experience to the club. |

I imagine all of the big clubs will have had a sniff around Myler. I can see at least one or two making an offer for next season. |

It's still a huge difference to claiming he's won everything at the top level of the game. Whilst I agree on club over country, International RL is still the top level. |
